i think this would be cool add a special attack that is unique to each class like when you get enough damage done to you and your special gauge is full you press a button while locked onto a monster and it does a special attack that does more damage then any other skill you have but since its so powerful it would take a long time to build up the gauge like maybe you need 3000 damage done to you before its full and as you get higher level it gets higher so by like level 200 you need 10 000 damage done to you to get

here names for special attacks and class names
1st class

fighter titanium blade
magician magic storm
rouge sonic slash
acolyte holy purification
archer arrow shower
predictor grand cross

2nd class
knight berserk overdrive
mage typhoon
felon silent kill
clergy holyspring
scouter arrow slots /shoots arrow of random elemtent
cleric grand phantasm

3rd class
paladin ragnarok
wizard elemental conversion
asassin death blow
priest exorcise

That reminds me of the mushu gauge on Dynasty Warriors... just that the mushu gauge charges easily. But it would be something fun too mess around with.

I have heard some others mentioning "Special Attacks" like this, but I must say that this is one of the best. I think that this sounds like an excelent idea. It would add more depth to the classes. Great idea^^b!

yeh good idea. sounded a bit like the rogue system on wow at first but then it got its unique part lol. But you listed the cleric and paladins both as ragnarok.... would they be the same in any way? i think any unique skill would be cool. like both fighters and rogues 2 combat moves mostly used (blind sight and scare) are prety much the same as thrusting and sheild slam. i cant wait to get more skills wich is gonna take a while but i cant realy play any game online ATM :(

maybe it shouldn't get harder to fill the gauge as you get higher but just that it hits a certain percent higher or maybe just a for sure critical hit or something...

that would be even harder then raising how much damage yu need done dont forget at level 200 monsters will do like 200 damage a hit so your gauage basically raises the same as it did at level 20 its just if the gauge was allways3000 then youd be able to use your special like every 15 hits witch wouldnt be that fair and just think in pvp being able to use your special in like 10 hits that wouldnt be fun either and dont forget like at level 20 scare does like 100 damage to a monster your level and your special would do like 400 to a red named monster and as you get higher levels and your equips get stronger your special does even more damage

Very cool idea maybe they could be massive damage/over time heals or even faster attack and you could put points into the system every say 10 levels? so maybe it would be a combo of faster attacks and massive damage ? perhaps every 10 levels you could pick to add one more feature or stack one on. so a tank would be able to stack over time heals a dps would do pure mass damage or attack speed or like i said a hybrid.

i dont know what you mean but like if you mean like everyones special does some sorta effext that takes place after the special i allready put thought into that i didint think of listing them but i i will



class special and affect that takes place after

1st class

fighter/titanium blade/after executed gains 15 extra defense for 5 mins

magician/magic storm/after executed decreses recovery time while standing by 1 second for 5 mins

rouge/sonic slash/after executed increases attack speed by -0.3 and dodge by 5 for 5 mins is stackable with doping

acolyte/holy purification/after executed acolyte regenerates 5 mp and 15 hp for every hit he does to monster for 5 mins

archer/arrow shower/after executed arrows used up per attack =0 for 5 mins

predictor/grandcross/after executed has 0 cast time and all magics can be cast at half the mp cost

2nd class
knight/berserk overdrive/after executed increase attack power by 25 and defense by 10 for the next 7 mins

mage/typhoon/after executed magic does 15 % more damage and revoers mp by 10 for each attach for the next 7 mins

felon/silent kill/after executed increases dodge by 15 and attack strength by 10 for the next 7 mins is stackable with doping

clergy/holyspring/after executed all magics cost 0 mp illusion quake does 30% more damage for 7 mins

scouter/arrow slots/after executed attacks are 0.4 faster and critical is raised by 15 for next 12 mins

cleric/grand phantasm/after executedincreases damage of aoe spells by 20% single spells by 30% and decreases mp recovery to 1/3 for 12 mins

the reason cleric and scouter have longer times and better effects are beacuse they are the last class for predictor and archer

3rd class

paladin/ragnarok/after executed increase attack by 60 and defense by 100% for next 12 mins

wizard/elemental conversion/after executed increases damage of allspells by 30% and increases mp by 500 for next 12 mins

asassin/deathblow/when using the skill invisible your movement speed is as if you werent invisible also when you attack or use skills you will not be revealed and will stay invisible lasts for the next 9 mins

priest/exorcise/after executed all buffs effects are x by 5 and last for 45 mins and damage of illusion quake is increased by 50% for next 12 mins

assasins time is lower beacuse if not his effect would be way too overpowered dont forget theese specials all do damage before there effects ativate so you do major damage and then have a good effect that lasts a good amount of time

First of all, 10,000 damage at level 200 is about half your health. So tht really isnt a good conversion rate.

Secondly, if these "special attacks" are as powerful as your saying, they make PvP less about skill, and more about who spent more time getting his special attack damage before the PvP.

Assassin's skill is WAY overpowered. If you attacked with regular attacks fine, but there skills should reveal them. Otherwise blind strike infinitely.

Clergy dont use illusion quake, they use God's Fire. We already talked about this, they have the best skill in the game, 30% more damage is rediculous.

Your entire basis of the skills is bad.

Your giving some classes PERCENT increased, with others static. You know damn well 15% magic damage is alot more added damage then 25 more attack.

If I do 2,000 damage a hit at level 100, 15% of that is 300 damage more. 25 more attack, would add 40 damage or so.

You cant even make suggestions without knowing the formula's. Not even I could. But atleast start by giving the same bonus types, as Static or Percentile. And Dont give classes you favor overpowered skills. Assassin is redic.

you dont get it i did balance all of them gods fire isn tthe strongest skill in the game but it is the strongest acolyte skill and i made it as balanced as i could if you read the 3rd class description they all have equal if acolyte were to get 50% more damage to gods fire that would be uneven 50% to illusion quake is good also considering the buffs last45 min instead of 10 if cast in the 12 min frame aslo paladin gets a 100% increase to defense they are all evend out i made each specila attack after effect suit the class that uses it maybe asassin is too overpowerd so maybe his effect could be 7 mins instead but i didint do that cuse i favor assasin i didi it beacuse assasin dosent really need dodge that that high level nor does he need aspd so he gets to saty invisible but dont forget staying invisible only lats like a couple mins like 2 so he has to recast invisible every time it wears off so its not really overpowerd if you think about it

and i said 10 000 cuse i didint know how much health you would have at 200 lol i only got my max lvl on xenepic to 81 at witch i had just over 600 hp going pure agi if asassin and every other class tho gets a 10 000 hp boost when they class change i dont know how you get that much hp beacuse gm ride rin one of his screenies only has over 500 hp at level 149 and i only had 653 hp at level 81 felon

This has been said various times, and I admire your point.
Your fighting and you get an unexpected link, the whole party starts getting unorganised running about left right and center focussing attention on all the wrong priorities. These "Special Moves" will pull you out of these once-an-hour problems,turning the battle around. I would like this, I'm sure you would too. You are not paid to think of how these would work, or how they'd be activated, neither do I, I've suggested such ideas myself before. Don't slander Sakura because of his system, which does, yes, suck ****, but honestly none of us here could properly get a good "Special Attack" concept. This thread is just to say that do you think it'd be a good idea to have an ability that will save your hide when it all goes wrong. If this idea does go ahead, I'm sure Outspark will make a fantastic job of it, with making it balanced an' all.
Ditch trying to think of a system, let those who are paid to do it figure it.

sakura? and yea im not paid to do this i jsut made an idea and everything so no need to slander me you also slandered me in my rouge guide beacuse i said felons could beat archers in pvp if they use the right skills i have a feeling you just like to slander beacuse you cant come up with theese ideas or make guides like me

I wouldn't say that, and sorry I said your name wrong. I've seen ALOT of Sakuras in game.
I could easily shout and stomp around right now, but that won't get us anywhere now will it. Everybody likes to feel better then someone else, and its easy to take advantage of new ideas. What was being said was correct in the idea of system, but not in the way it was said. Our friend Acidic probably felt very proud of himself after writting such a text, pride which he wouldn't get writing calmly.
