Do I just automatically gain it at 20? Or do I have to do a quest. And if I have to quest, are there any prerequisites to it?

you gotta do the job change quest at level 20(seems most difficult for mages)
although when you become lvl 20, you get the TITLE wizmage, but you still gotta do the quest to change the CLASS itself
