I know I'm not the only one with this issue as it's been posted in the trouble-shooting area SEVERAL times.
I cannot whisper other players but they can whisper me. I cannot be invited to party with people (it says I automatically decline) but I can party them. Trades...let's not even go there.
The suggestions I've been able to find after scouring the troubleshooting section are to relog onto Fiesta...since this is an on-going problem, that doesn't help, to reset chat options, doesn't help, and to manually install the newest patch, also doesn't help. The only thing I haven't tried is totally un-installing and re-installing fiesta and I really really don't want to do that as it took six hours the first time.
My favorite suggestion was when someone suggested we were in hide mode so we should hit shift-z. It's as if we're in hide mode, really, except without the hiding!
