The movie sucked. There were more plot holes in Twilight than there were in a Broly movie.

>.> If we are looking at Twilight from an old-time Vampire/werewolf fan perspective, meaning people who think of Vampires like Dracula and Nosferatu, and referring back to the old Wolf-man legends, Twilight butchers these beyond all belief. Vampires do not sparkle, Vampires do not have ultra-super powers, they don't play baseball, they aren't 'vegetarians' nor do they refuse to drink human blood. Getting bit on the arm does not change you into a vampire. Getting bit by a vampire once then bitten by another vampire does not reverse the process. Vampires don't drive cars. Vampires are pale as a sheet and do not have red lips, this proves that all the vampires in Twilight wear lipstick, even the boys. Were-wolves are not 'shape-shifters', they don't change on command, and they aren't whiny little teenage boys who end up having their crush stolen by some pretty boy vampire. They cannot transform until they have reached maturity, usually being around your prime, usually about twenty years old or so. They ONLY change on the full moon. THEY ARE NOT SHAPESHIFTERS.

-.-

Twilight is the biggest fan-fic ever written. It has no premise, no research, and it comes from a writer who can only sell books by appealing to prepubescent girls with her POS fantasy stories. /ends rant before he really gets mad.

Agreed with everything Attila said. 'Twilight' basically ruins the image of vampires. I heard someone at my school actually say that they wanted to marry a vampire. That's definitely not how people should think about vampires.

Vampires are blood sucking demons. They are brutal, merciless, violent, and plain evil. That's what I think of when I think of vampires. Movies like Dracula, Blade, The Lost Boys; those are what vampires really are.

it all depends on whose perspective it is since i feel as if vampires are blood sucking demons but others might feel like they make good bfs/gfs:(

anyways i think i just missed the point of this thread >.>

<--also agrees with Saint_Attila.

Don't forget that real vampires also have fangs. And they don't have rock-hard skin, because they don't need it.

o-o It's not exactly my style of book, but I"ve read it. Admittedly, it's not too bad. She's a very good writer. *shrug* You've got to look at it with an open mind. If you're gonna read it with a "This a stupid book" perspective... you shouldn't bother. >w<

She is not a good writer. She lacks any sort f hook to the book, her words do not flow, her characters are bland and no fun to read about, and the entire plot is so shoddily put together, I could destroy it with a single paragraph. Oh wait, I already did.

I'd make a comment about that run-on sentence, but......

I, myself, thoroughly enjoyed the book and the sequels following it. Yes, just about any male you ask about the books will comment on it saying it's just some love story or totally fails. The fact is though you wouldn't have so many people enjoying it if it wasn't well put together. Sure it doesn't fit into the whole "AMG HARDCORE EVIL VAMPS" scene , [and I should know, I happen to adore the Hellsing Mangas], but it's a creative way of changing up the ol' vampire/werewolf tale in my honest opinion.

I don't get why Meyer had to make vampires sparkle. The book would've been alright if they didn't sparkle.

Then comment on it and tell me how to not make it a run-on sentence. A writer always accepts constructive criticism.

I've heard the Robert Pattinson even said that the book was awful. My sister said it was in some magazine I think.

Alright, let me edit this around then.

All you needed was to add a few periods and edits in. It didn't look like quite the single paragraph from my point of view, but that's getting far too off-topic for my tastes. My apologizes to y'all posters.

LOL @ people getting mad over what vampires are "really" supposed to be.. it's all fiction no matter who's telling the story. twilight happens to be stephanie meyer's version of what a vampire may or may not be. i only just saw bram stoker's dracula a few weeks ago and i thought it was really stupid. but that's my opinion..

and getting mad because the werewolves aren't really werewolves? well, if you'd read the whole series, at the end of breaking dawn it's said they're not "real" werewolves and instead ARE simply shapeshifters who chose to morph in the shape of a giant wolf. it was also said that there were "real" werewolves, called children of the moon, who are in fact your traditional werewolf creature.

lol, i'm really not trying to flame anyone here, i just think it's funny some people get so worked up over something so trivial. i, for one, did enjoy the books and am hesitant to see the movie because i'm afraid it won't live up to my expectations.

AND, *ahem*.. i didn't even name my character(s) after bella cuz i hadn't even read the books until about a month ago.. lol, i realized the coincidence only after getting asked a bajillion times if i named them after her. fer real yo!

in the twilight it said they took away all the stereotype things about vampires. technically it was just for people that loved one of those romance novels and taking it to a new lvl =/ plus vamp's are fake so...why even care :P?
