Tell me how we earn money? Mob didn't drop a single copper. We can sell drops to earn money buat again those needed for production. HP/MP stones used money. My point is make mob drop money, even as little as 1 copper.

I totally agree with that, even if it *is* just 1c off every single mob in the game. <3
yea that makes it so much easier than selling stuff or doing quest

I disagree to an extent. Making money scarce increases its importance/value.

Use the drops to craft items and then sell them to other players for a good amount.
Just sell any items you don't use for crafting.

Well, when you make your crafts, and sell them to other players, then how are they going to get the money to buy yor stuff? By selling 10 times more items themself? (as you will take more than vendor price, i gues)
However, it is true that having mob drops coins would be a bit unrealistic, instead, you could add items, that is supposed to be vendored, but is useless for crafting. That way, ppl does not need to remove the crafting part of the game, if they need some money, for let us say skills or stones.

I think only monsters that would realistically CARRY money around should drop it. So slimes or general animal/beast enemies shouldn't drop money, since they're unlikely to have any on them. General 'humanoid' enemies though should drop money,or enemies that can be deemed to 'have' money for other reasons. (maybe for example, gargoyles could be 'fascinated' by the shininess of our currency and thus collect it from the bodies of their human victims...)
*Since people can sell the item drops from the monsters anyway if they want to,this may be a good idea. Besides,if you're that concerned about selling the 'crafting' materials all the time why not just find a dedicated crafter to make you something for a price,or get a friend/alt to do the job.

Ooook, and who do you suggest they sell their crafts to? Other ppl with no money? -.-
And since it's so hard to *get* money, ppl will sell stuff for insane prices, which is not good either.
I'm not saying there should be a LOT of money off mobs, just a little, like 2c or something silly. Would make grindind a little more interesteing.
Realistic? Who are you kidding? lol! We cant jump over fences, we are anime toons, we kill animals that come from someone's imagination...yea realistic...ok...and who's to say that in this person's world those animals don't carry around money huh? :P

I don't know why but I just like selling stuff for money rather than picking it off the ground.
<font color="#ff6600">What happens once everyone gets the items? What happens whent here is an over production of a single item? *COUGH ELRUE COUGH* from250copper they sell under 75c now. Ohh yes. Just let us make money just off the items itself! GENIUS! Sure you can sell them.. OMG 3 COPPER! &lt;For the tier 1 items&gt; That is so ganna help me make 5silver for a level 20 weapon.
This is directed to people saying make money off items.</font>

i get loads of money from the rewards of events by selling the stuff
i got 8 silver bars-lik 1.5s ea
but ya monsters should drop money
on another note in some of the places(forrest of mist if i remember right)there are tree houses and platforms-be nice if we could climb ladders and get up there
also be nice if we could go inside the houses just for watever-make pvp more fun
@Above so you expect us to have event items always to make money off of? I doubt that will happen
@above I use all 3 types.

Here let me throw in my 2 cents. ITS A EFFING GAME! IT ISNT SUPPOSED TO BE &quot;REALISTIC&quot; YOU IDIOTS. You think fighting slimes is &quot;realistic&quot; or mushroom that stand 6 feet tall is realisitc?* Every single one of you that said &quot;it would make it unrealistic for them to drop money&quot; total dumb***es. In every single MMO to date mobs have dropped money. Think anyone has complained its unrealistic? Its a game...if you want realistic go play Counter Strike. Outspark never claimed the game to be realistic in anyway shape or form. Besides the fact nothing within this game is realistic besides the crafting to some degree. Bow's shooting magical inf. arrows is unrealistic. Enhanceing you sword to the point it glows a pretty pink is unrealistic. Shut up and play the GAME. If people want mobs to drop some money, and the Devs decide to the fine, who cares, i bet anyone here my life, that they wont complain once! &quot; Oh this mob is dropping 100c and i dont like it&quot;.

in a way mobs do drop money already if you think about it mobs drop copper lumps and later on when you explor new places most likely you will find silver lumps etc.but for now copper lumps if you sell them to a npc you got a quick 100c in most of the time 1 copper lump dont even drop from the mobs*they drop like 5 copper lumps*at a time.

<u>''I disagree to an extent. Making money scarce increases its importance/value.''</u>
I totally agree with you my friend.
I'm just reacting to what I've read so far on these forums, and if I'm being unclear, it's because I just got up.*
It would make Money important in a game, if we/they woud stick to the ussual way of earning money, by killing and looting, money wouldlose it's value in such a way that you would get the same situation as in flyff, which is players selling stuff at 100M.
Besides, have you ever seen a monster with money with it?
&#160;
But, on the other hand, they could let the monsters drop things that cost money to make, just to replace the money.

I have no problem with money 1st character i made reached 1 silver already nd i still have the materials for crafting (lvl 1-7)... if ur new i suggest u not do KQ too much since u don't get money from it, u may lvl fast but u won't have the money u need to support the character even if u get the chest reward no1 will buy a lvl 15 weapon+ for a high price when they can get the reward from KQ as well.

If you make monsters drop money there would just be more money in the system, everything would then probably cost more so it would be the same as if monsters didn't drop money. The only real benefit would be that you can afford npc stuff easier unless they raise the npc prices with the money drop from monsters, which they might do.

Well you can only need 2 out of the 3 sets of crafting items for any one character. Use the two you need to create what you can make then use or sell your created items. Then there's the production materials that you can't use, so you can vendor or sell them to other players. There are also repeatable quests that can get you good amounts of copper in fairly short amounts of time.
If you use all 3, which I actually do too with another character being a potion maker, then you're just greedy and want it all. I think they made it so you can only create two things so that you can capitalize on the third. Don't try to do it all until you can afford to.
I dunno, I've never been very wealthy in the game at any one point so far, but I constantly spend on refining items. I've gotten 2 bows up to +7 and I broke at least 3 +6s doing it. I've bought over over a dozen lucky Xirs from 2-3s a piece and all my other equipment is at least +4. I mostly just vendor stuff I don't need and I've only set up a shop maybe twice to sell off stuff and I managed to get enough silver for my needs.
I guess having mobs drop a minute amount of copper wouldn't hurt, but it's not like the game is impossible as is.

My issue with the game right now is everyone can do anything, which in my mind drops the value of any made product. Like with Elrue right now...everyone and their brother can make it, and you dont ever see it being sold below 100c, unless someone wants to make a little quick money. With everyone being able to make Elrue or Potions, or Scrolls in my mind it drops the value of it, because people say, why should i buy that when i can just make it myself, and sooner or later, its going to end up that way. The only thing people are going to want to buy are MAYBE enhanced weaps, but again, why buy them when i can make them? As of right now i belive the games economy is sevearly unbalanced, with every class being able to mine, or make potions. They should limit the 3 different trades to certain classes. Like mineing for eg. should be a Warriorthing. Potions*Cleric/Archer, and*Scrolls should be a Mage thing. Since mineing should take a certain amount of Str and not just 700c. Potions or Scrolls should take Int to make, in my mind it should be Scrolls, since the scrolls are a magic item...they enhance your abilities. Potions then would fall to Archers and Clerics. Doing it that way would limit the trade skills and increase the value of the items being made and sold. In a realistic fantasy world a mage would NEVER be able to lift a pickaxe and mine, they wouldnt have the Str to do it, and a Warrior would NEVER be able to sit down a scribe a scroll to be magical in nature unless he had a fairly high Int...
in a way mobs do drop money already if you think about it mobs drop copper lumps and later on when you explor new places most likely you will find silver lumps etc.but for now copper lumps if you sell them to a npc you got a quick 100c in most of the time 1 copper lump dont even drop from the mobs*they drop like 5 copper lumps*at a time.
<font color="#ff6600">Yeah, but.. It isn't like they drop so often.*How are you supposed to get*copper between then? Sell your items that you need?</font>*

Need before Greed
everyone is crying about money and how to get richer, GREED. Why sell your old items in attempt for a little profit when you could give them to noobs (when beta is over) i really dont give a rats what anyone does, but if you consider yourself as one of the best in the game, your a freakin looser. A true Hero might have 100 less hp, but have help others a ton more and has alot more respect from the community rather than his greedy little uber circle. So, enjoy the game and have fun, look for bugs and do the job your here to do, And Dont focus on personal gain and greed. save a whale.

Currency drops from mobs = gold farmers. Gold farmers = gold sellers = unbalanced game and financial incentive for bot programmers.
You have a very simple choice. Use your drops or sell them? The only reason people complain is because they don't want to make that decision; they want things to be easy. I and many others much prefer playing a game where managing your money is important, not just to be wealthy and buy the most uber gear, but to get through the game! Remember Diablo II? Great game but gold was practically worthless. The amount of gold it was possible to hold in a single level 90+ character's inventory and storage wouldn't buy you diddly squat. Nobody had to really work to afford pots or repairs; ressing your merc was the only significant expense. It could be hard just to find someone who gambled enough to want to sell you pgems to trade up for runes (or SOJ way back) that were actually used as currency.
My point is, that makes the game easy. And when a game is easy, it becomes uninteresting; an uninteresting game is a grind. It's far more fun to fight risky battles than to just kill things over and over and use a pot once in a while. It's far more challenging to have to manage your money wisely for success than to simply have an easy game where whoever plays more hours a day is richer and better-equipped.
If you're constantly trying to make yourself a bunch of +7 gear at low levels (and trust me, we're all low levels right now) and buff scrolls for leet pvp then it's no wonder you're poor. But there are a lot of people who aren't poor. There are people spending 500s to make guilds. If you're poor and you don't want to be poor you're doing something wrong. Where's your money? In the hands of players who are doing it right.
And just for reference, I am SO not rich. I just gave away a *unique* bow I found couple days ago, for free. I was offered 4s and change on the spot--that's more money than I've had ever in CB so far--and I probably could have gotten a LOT more if I had stalled it, and I'm level 19, anyone who's gotten to 20 knows I'm gonna really need that silver tomorrow. So don't think I'm saying this because I'm rich.
