Think of this just the like Jeff Foxworthy's " You know you're a redneck" skit. Put down your best examples of noobish behavior.

To clear things up, a noob is a annoying or moronic player, while a newb is just the new guy. Thank you.

You know you're a noob when...ask for a buff, zip around on your mover like a 5 year old hyped up on sugar, then flame the cleric for not buffing you.

You know you're a noob when...you send someone numerous Party invites then kill them when they reject all of them.

If you've ever pulled a huge mob towards a group of people then teleported, you might be a noob.

If you've ever KSed someone and claimed to be at the monster spawn point first, you might be a noob.

hehe definitely mehe. They want to party you because they want to benefit from your kiting. When they see you don't accept, they get mad that they won't be getting good exp with you. It doesn't make any sense, but unfortunately there are people who that. I encountered one once in luminous stone and he kept ks'ing me cause I wanted to solo.

Fighters are not egotistical....they are barbaric morons!! All they know is senseless violence, pillaging, and slaughter!! They have large chins, bulging foreheads, no eyebrows, and talk like cavemen!!

Ok, now that I've had my fun, I think there are two types of fighters in this game. Those like Achilles or Hector, who are jst as intelligent as they are strong, and those who are brain-dead and noobeh like Conan or He-man. Unfortunately for us, the Conan types outrank the Achilles types.

HAHA Fiesta was my first game ever, here's a few out of my book:

You know you're a newb when you don't talk to an npc for 15 levels (1-15 in two weeks O.x).

You know you're a newb when you think the the hp/sp buffs are some kind of hour long server event (<3 buff fairies... but had no clue who you were til lvl 30).

You know you're a newb when you use the lvl 1-5 npc quest gear til lvl 24 because no other gear ever dropped from the thousands of iron slimes you killed grinding there.

You know you're a newb when the first KQ you ever did was Mara & Marlone- at lvl 25.

hmmm... I'll save the rest for later lol... here's some "noob moves" that even I figured out without embaracing myself in-game:

You know you're a noob when you try to buy crit suits for 50s (back in march last year rofl).

You know you're a noob when you (lvl 28) offer two peeps (cleric & fighter lvls 44 & 48) 1gem each to plvl you.

You know you're a noob when you decide to plvl a noob who will pay you 1gem when he/she gets back from the corner store. (I watched two noobs kill stuff in VT for two hours before they started flaming the guy lool).

You know you're a noob when you try to sell the fighter skill "Vitality 02" as "t2 ViT LeArn ScROlL."

You know you're a noob when you buy 16 "Vitality 02" as "t2 ViT LeArn ScROlLs" from one vendor- one for each of your characters on epith, teva, bijou, and apoline.

You know you're a noob when you run through Mara KQ with your fighter and drop T1 HP pots but don't tank because, "I'm a healing fighter, I'm the support class...don't call me noob, noob ><" (Laz- Nov 22, 2008...healing fighters ftw).

You know you're a noob when you feel entitled to the time and energies of complete strangers, so you demand them to kill your quest ****s for you.

You know you're a noob when you fill a party chat box with extremely lude and borderline ilegal remarks, then say "I've been drinking, beer is hawt," because of course, drunk people type perfectly and choose to be drunk sitting down at a desk playing an MMO with children. (note... this might belong in the "you might be a perv if..." section.)

You know you're a noob if you enjoy picking on lowbies in the abyss, then taunt them with your "all powerful main," so the lowbies log into their mains and war you... then scrub your lame @$$ all over elderine, consequently getting you blackballed from all the guilds in the server.

You know you're a noob if, in the same abyss scenario, you keep your alts in academies past lvl 56 just to pick on lowbies.

I have so many... Aponoobs ftw

You know you a noob when you go to someone in SoG with a Mara Killer license title and ask them to kill Mara because you think its their job ^^. That actually happened to me on my mage. Bless his little cotton socks. I put the Mara lic on a staff I found just for kicks.

You know your a noob when you don't discover that you have HP/SP stones until Lv15 or so...:o Guilty.... I spent a small fortune on SP pots when I first started playing lol.

You know your a noob when you verbally abuse a Cleric for buffing you, thinking they are trying to attack you.

You know your a noob when you think 100k is a lot of EXP to gain to level.

You know your a noob when you think Lv6X is a high level and when you get there you realise it's all been plain sailing till now and Lv6X is still a low level.

You know your a noob when you are shouting till you are blue in the face that you can't buy from this vendor that your standing in front of and you can't understand why until someone points out that it's a purchase store >< Yup I done that too.

I was about to start a new topic talking about the difference between noob and newbie, then I came across your thread and decided not to start one, but to share my views in your thread. Though noobs and newbies might be having the same meaning, but in game, there is some variation.

Newbie: new player who doesn't mind to learn and take advice from people when they are new to a game.

Noob: new player who doesn't want to learn, think they are always right, being over-confident, ignorant and sometimes arrogant. Or high level old players who still cannot play a game well.

At least when you call someone a newbie when he is new to the game, newbie sounds better, because when you call him noobie, it sounds pretty offensive and it doesn't carry sense of respect to the other player.

That's why when someone said that he wants to go to lower level abyss to kill some noobs, I wonder is he refering to those people who are being ignorant and arrogant, or those nice newbies who are still low level.

You know you're a newb when you put points into INT because you think your cleric will get "smarter" and be able to learn new skills.

You know you're a newb when you see clerics several levels below you casting cure and restore and wonder what the heck they're doing, because you didn't know that there was more than one page of skills.

You know you're a newb when you verbally abuse a snotty underaged archer who's gotten your party killed three times in a row, delete him from your list, and then proceed a day later to unwittingly join the same guild that he's in.

You know you're a n00b when you're a fighter. Ha ha. Just kidding. Mostly. Kind of. Not really.

"KS: Kill Steal. This means that you kill/attack a monster somebody else is fighting. It's effect is that you steal exp and perhaps even the kill so you have an easy time finishing a quest while the other player needs to work more. It is inappropriate behaviour."

Meh I'm a noob cuz I learned that it is possible to enchant weapons.... and you did not have to use the 10 alrues you bought from npcs. (I thought I was glitching when the enchantment wouldn't start because I put in a stack) and I didn't know the shift+click removes 1 thing from a stack O:

It cast a green light around people that kinda looks like a lvl up light.

So the cleric in my party casted restore on another party member

Me; "Gratz!" :D
Party; "huh?"
Me; "He lvled :D"

Restore was cast again on a party member

Me; "Gratz!" :D
Party; "What?" O.o

And again the cleric used restore.

How about when you accidently sell a +6 bow you weren't going to sell in the first place for only 300c instead of the one you were originally going to sell for 300c. Then you get so mad that you go and ruin a Mara KQ in a row by pulling both Mara and Marlone into a crowd of archers while there's only one cleric and then ruin a second one by pulling ALL the Maras and one Marlone at the end. :mad:

The quest items looked like ruby's.

Soooo I thought they were ruby's! So I didn't bother to pick them up :D

You know you are a noob if you are still buying soul stones one by one in the 5x levels (pre ToI days)

You know you are a noob if you come running by and ks a cleric with a mob of CK on them in FM, then get pissed 5 minutes later when they won't revive you at golds. (I know at least two 9x fighters guilty of this)

You know you are a noob when you are a fighter in pvp kq and call out any other class for running away from you. Cause the non-noob thing to do is stand there and get facerolled......

You know you are a noob if you 70% charm for pvp kq and wonder why the entire kq is team spawning you.

To clear things up, a noob is a annoying or moronic player, while a newb is just the new guy. Thank you.
