lvl 30 weapon choice?...

hi ive just reached lvl 30 last night, so its time to get my new weapon. I am a fighter but im confused as to which choice to make....:confused: im looking at getting a 1h sword with shield because im working on def atm but with a 1h sword it doesnt give much damage as you would like than the axe, i prefer axe to the fact that it does serious damage and has a good critical attack but im just worrying about making the wrong choice


please help me, i know its personal preference but i dont wanna waste silver on something i wanna change my mind with, so please convince me with something :)
