So far i like everything about the game except for the skills and weapons. The skills that I have seen, though notmany, haven't been very impressive. I think that there needs several more skills for every class. I also think that they need to be in a Skill Tree system with the added Skill points would create a whole new depth to the game that it is currently lacking. I haven't gotten very far with my characters so far but when im playing Magician I grow more and more bored casting Magic Ice, Spamming the Lightning Spell, running a little, and repeating. I would like to be able to have a whole Spell book of skills that i have access to as a Magician. Even the Rogue needs more to it than just Running a little faster and a Damaging skill. About the point system, At every level a character should recieve a certain ammount of skill points that they can invest in the skills that they currently know or save them for the later skills, and whenever a point is added to a spell, the effect/damage/duration/etc... would grow stronger, along with it consuming more Mana. The skill tree system would also let players model there character based on how they want their experience to be.
Secondly, there shouldnt be such a restriction on the weapons each character can use. As a rogue player, i would like to be able to use a Ranged weapon like a bow and a dagger at the first level and then when i change to the Scout the bow weapons damage is stronger, but i would also have access to the dagger weapons, which would be weaker. The same goes for the felon but reversed. This could be possible for all classes; for instance, a magician could choose between a wand, and a staff. Acolyte chooses from mace and book. Fighter chooses between sword/shield and 2H weapon.
I will have more details on the skill tree/point system, and weapons when i have set them up.
