Guild Wars isn't an MMO in some peoples eyes but it isn't a grindfest :)
I wouldn't mind huge experience gaps IF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there were QUESTS TO DO TO COVER THEM. I'm level 25 did all my quests and 25% of the way to the next level....no way in hell am I going to repeat KQ which are hard enough to get into as it is (taking a slot away from someone who can NEED it) over and over...and over....and......
More quests please :)

It's a korean game so a grind is pretty much a given.

There is an awkward period for mages and archers around level 20-30. The monsters you can kill before they get to you don't give much EXP, and the monsters at your level that you do give good EXP are hard hitting and that makes it difficult for you to kill things. Fighters and clerics especially don't have this problem because they can take on things several levels ahead of them and still win, but for archers and mages it's a problem. On top of this it's hard to afford new skills because the monsters you can kill don't give good drops, so you can't really sell anything to make much money.
Simply put, if you are only getting 15 exp from the monster then it's level is not high enough. So you, as an archer or mage, should be partying a lot during those levels so that you can get the necessary EXP. Hope that the party loot allocation is on sequential so you'll get some loot to sell so you can buy new skills and start to rock more. :3
That period fades after a certain point when you can make more money and can use skills better, afford scrolls and lots of pots. Just have to survive that period and don't give up! x3
And those super high levels with all that EXP, are usually capable of beating up monsters that drop a good amount of EXP as well. >> But yes it is quite a grind for them, as it SHOULD be at those levels. xP

With only 2-3 hours of play each day, I need 1 month tnl :D.
Party is a must for lvl 30+ above if you want to lvl fast. I envy those who are lucky enough to grind during 3xXP rates .

They just need to fix some of the bugged quests is all. The grind is not that bad lol, if you can't handle it at lvl 20-30 might wanna find a new game you won't make it through 50-59 or let alone 58-59, which is 2.6mil then onto 59-60 which is 3mil when cap is removed.

Just make friends with a cleric and/or stock up on pots and stones.
And be brave.

Attack monsters that are orange or red to you.
Or be crazy like me.

I tank red monsters.
Makes Grinding Fun & Fast (?!?)
btw these are old, I have a new outfit now :D

I have to agree, one important part of "the grind" is to keep things interesting. Just killing the same monster four to five hundred times is pretty soul-destroying, so party up for someone to talk to and fight with, and charge forth into some place where enemies can kill you between two and ten hits. It might not be the most efficient way, if you can kill a dozen 10 XP enemies in the same time it takes to kill one 120 XP enemy, but it sure is a whole lot more fun. Better drops too.
Just don't party with a mage who thinks they can tank. They're crazy.

te oint of the game is not to level up, but to have fun and enjoy it when you level up
im always hppy to see when my exp status is at 99%, but if we leveled up a level in an hour every level, then there would be no enjoyment from leveling up
and besides, if youo are like level 50, you have something to be proud of, it means you worke quite hard to get to there:D

1-20 is a joke. ^^ 1-11 in an hour and 45 min ftw. ^^

i dont complain bout the exp i love going slow and all too fast leveling is also a bad thing like example i reached level 99 in a game MAXed and i did'en know what to do after... so i rather slowly go trough all this...

Cabal online was not a grind fest and thats one of the main reasons it remains as one of my top 2 mmo of all time.

I've never played seal but i'm also going to end up playing that over this game too. Simply because of the combo system, cabal combo system was great imo and seal system seems even better.
