Why can't I equip these?

I just became level 20 and I decided to get a two handed sword and a chest plate. I bought both and I checked the requirements. I had to be level 20 for both items and for the sword it was a two handed sword, so I took off my shield. I tried to equip it and it wouldn't let me. I tried the armor and it wouldn't let me either. It said I had to be a clever fighter or higher and I am. I checked my status and I'm a clever fighter.

All of that being said, can someone please tell me what is wrong here? Sorry if there was confusion while reading that lol. Thank you.

Class Requirement: Clever fighter

You need to go do your job change.

There is a job change quest that you need to do in order to be able to use those items. The title alone doesnt count.

I have one more question and I think I'll be set. Who do you have to go to in order to do that job change quest? In Elderine or Roumen?

Marty the warrior skill master. Do his quest, then Ruby's quest, then Marty will tell you to go to Grand Master Sean in Forest of Mist.
