Chests from KQ's

I keep being told in game that chests from KQ shouldn't be empty. The past four KQ's I've managed to do in succession (I've failed a lot... QQ Mara) have rewarded me with empty chests. Was this bug addressed already and is there a resolution in sight? Would it be better if I just storage my chests until the fix comes out, so afterwards I can open them (or will they disappear)? Please advise.

(Yes, I know there's a thread it in the bugs. I would like to see an official GM or Customer Support answer on this issue. Tired of all the rumors flying about and it's be nice to have a definite answer!)

To help show the GM's there is really an issue with this, please start documenting when you receive empty chests. As a reminder, keep these things in mine:

a) Did you receive fame? If so, it's not an empty chest!
b) Were you alive and received exp/chest from the Kingdom Quest success?
c) Did you have empty spots in your inventory for items from the chest to be placed into?

If you followed that list and STILL have an empty chest, POST ABOUT IT! Thanks!!!

Yeah i have had the same problem and heard many people say the exact same thing. I have had 6 empty KQ chests

Another bump. Can we please get an answer somewhere? It'd be a lot easier for other players to answer questions like this if we simply had a link to reference people to, that has a GM response about it.

I'm not even bothering to keep track of all the empty chests I have had now, since loot is the least of my worries.

Empty chests are a common thing in some of the later KQs (Mara especially).

I was informed today that this bug was fixed.

I decided I will bump/post this topic every empty chest I get. Feel free to do the same. Maybe if the GM's see actually how many people are upset with this, we can get an official word on it :D

I was getting great items for the charity in about 5 of the Mara kqs... now I've done 5 since then and have gotten squat.

but I may be above the cut off for good chests in Mara since I'm nearly 26 now?

There is a theory that says the earlier you finish the better the reward is. I am not sure, it may be false though.

I did a mara KQ that we finished rather quickly and I got an empty chest... I've been getting an awful lot of them lately. I'll start documenting it, too.

Nah, every chest is your's to keep ^^; Sounds like you lucked out, since the most items I have heard coming out of a chest is 3.

I don't know but a lot of people have started to say they are getting fame in their chests instead of them being empty. So technically they aren't empty. I want this thread to documents empty chests only. ;)

The last 3 or 4 KQ's I finished all had empty chests. No fame, no copper, I opened it after getting to town, and they all finished at various time. Some were a couple of minutes left, as we were having a bit of fun with the extra time in killing extra fakes, for people's quests. Another had around 15 minutes left on the clock, and another 10.

It makes things disheartening when I use this as a method to avoid buying weapons in level ups. (Cheap, yeah, but effective?)

Well I dont need to post a time... for since I got to lvl 25 I don't get a thing from mara (only GH), and when I was a lvl17 I didn't get either.... so is the chest supposed to be empty for all lvls that are situated in the KQ limit? If so ... it sucks... no ofence...

btw.. all completed with an excess time of at least 10mins (last night had a great team... left about 20mins :D *again empty chest* )

No, you need to stop crying when you don't get in. BTW people usually don't get in because they are playing with a bare minimum system or have a crappy ISP. Either one will cause lag and keep you out of KG's. Either pony up more $$$ for a chance or play in the early morning PST to get in. Because it isn't another players fault that your system blows b@lls...

Empty chest from Mini Dragon for me =( I checked my fame carefully this time too. Expensive KQ and no reward other than exp...don't think I'll try it again until i know chests aren't empty.

You do realize that we have to complete quests, too, right? If you don't get the kill, you don't get the cred, and you don't complete your quest. It takes some people several tries to be in the right party to get their quest. Look around. There's a reason people have to do them so many times. By the time you finish a quest, you usually level out of it, anyway, at least in my experience.

King Slime (regarding your lvl-15 mage) is one that people level out of quickly. The problem is how many people need or want to complete the three separate parts of the KS quest in the time (level) limit, not how many repeats there are. If there were a limit, some people would never finish their quest list. I know some people are repeats for fun, but most are repeats for necessity.

And just to make my thread somewhat on-topic, I got one empty chest around 12:45 today in a Mara KQ.

i tried this with my cleric very very early in the game. i stored about 10chests from mara KQ's, opened each one of them all at the same time. i had 1 blessed elrue from the entire batch :) hopefully they do something about the rewards cuz the xp is great but if your poor going into the KQ, your most likely gonna be poorer comming out of it :)

mini dragon KQ, ive had 2 earings / 4 chests and also recieved 2 mini-drag rings from ore mining in it. so overall i like my mini drag KQ's

Another empty Mara chest. Checked fame, checked copper. Had space in inventory, got the exp for the quest, etc. 4:44 PST, Mara[C], I think. I'm starting to agree with everyone who says Mara stinks in this aspect. :-(

agreed. mara kq gave me many empty chests. too bad i didnt keep count of them. well. gold hill is better. it gave blessed or lucky elrues +tier2 hp or sp pots most of the time TT it gives fame? well i never did notice about kq giving fame lol i guess i'll check that out lol ^^

I like this thread, it's going into my favorites. The next time I get an empty chest (as we all know is inevitable), I'll post it. It'll be complete with "before" and "after" screenies. ^^

Btw, fame shouldn't be given out in KQ chests. :p It's not difficult to get enough fame for scroll production skills. Very nice enhanced weapons? Now that's MUCH harder (and costly) especially if you're like me and not interested in buying from the Cash Shop and/or are underaged without a Paypal account.

Or they should give less fame with some items...

Also, has anyone else noticed the chances of getting an enhanced weapon seem to depend on your class? My cleric gets nothing, except level 14 archer boots (***?) but my archer, fighter and mage always get at least a +4 weapon.

i think KQ's chest rewards are just plain luck.. if you open a reward chest from KQ and theres nothing on it or you dont get anything then bad luck, it doesn't mean that you always get nice item on it or xp's, just try another KQ if you got nothing on the chest.. :p peace y'all!!

I had about 6 chest within the last 2 days that came up empty. i thought it was part of the game. They all came up empty on the Mara pirate thingy Kingdom quest.

Not only Mara KQ quest chests are empty, though! They can be empty in any KQ...

The only thing that is only bugged in Mara KQ is that you can get pants for a different job than yours but that might be intentional?

Just let the GMs play on a legit player and let them do KQs, you'll have really high chance to get an empty chest, so it should be very reproducable...
