This post is made in the hopes that Fiesta GM's might consider making branches for not ONLY the Cleric class, but other classes as well. However, seeing that the essence of a Cleric ic what my personality fits best, I thought I should post this here instead else-where.
What is branching exactly? In the definition I'm using it as, branching is the concept of breaking down a class into atleast 2 other classes; each class specializing, while slightly diminishing, one part of its class (The branches do not always have to diffir in name greatly though). This would provide for a not only a much more diffirential gameplay, but also a more satisfying mmorpg for those who would rather do damage, but still heal, or those who would rather heal, but do some small damage as well.
Example.
Lvl 1 - Begining Player MEDIC (Notice its not Cleric, but medic for the initial starting class)
Lvl 20 - Player can then specialize into a branch
---Options: Priest, Clerik
Priest Role: Mainly used in parties. This class would be for those that love to group together, sit back, and make sure there fighters dont die. Can/Could also cast buffs? (Buffs are spells that allow character enhancements for a limited time)
Cleric Role: Mainly used for those who like to deal some damage, but keep there healing nature at there side. If your a fighter at heart, but a healing gentlement (Or lady) by soul, this would fit you perfectly!
This is just a small example. And by no means the end-all-be-all of branching, just a suggestion that could use alot of alterations if need be. I understannd that this might suggest alot of re-coding on classes. Ont he Cleric class, clerics would need there heals adjusted to not heal as much as a priest could and such, but I believe its worth the effort! =) Anyways, even if its not, it would be awesome to hear a GM's take on this! :D

Level 1-19: Cleric (u all know how clerics work from 1-19)
Level 20: choice between PRIEST and PALADIN
Priest: heavy healing, low dmg, low offensive bonus to melee, but gain offensive spells (maybe share the same cooldown as some healing spells)
Paladin: low healing, medium-ranged dmg, OK-offensive bonus to melee, and no offensive spells. Gains bonuses to resistance to stun, diseases, poisons, etc naturally. Gains ability to taunt (single target creature)
Level 40 PRIEST: Choose between Holy priest and Dark Priest
Holy Priest: Gains additional buffs, gains higher-level healing spells, gains holy offensive spells (low to medium dmg, but share cooldowns as healing spells)
Dark Priest: Gains natural resistance to magic / physical dmg, gains good offensive spells, no additional healing spells.
Level 40 PALADIN: choose between Divine Paladin or Dark Knight
Divine Paladin: Gains a crapload more buffs, offensive ability still stay the same as paladin, more ability to heal (but not as strong as holy priests).
Dark Knight: Damage increases a lot, ability to equip 2-handed weapons, Defense goes down, no additional healing spells other than normal paladin/cleric spells. Gain offensive powerful melee attacks!
-cant think of anymore >.>-

I think that crossovers between classes would be cool. A cleric with sword wielding abilities, or a figter that can use a bow.
Skills could cross over too, but maybe at a lower level for the upper limit, like a fighter would get only the level 1-8 spells for cleric or mage, Ranger would get level 1-16 spells, cleric could get 1-16 fighter skills, mage would get 1-8 fighter skills, and so on...
The cross over could be part of the class change/branch. A Paladin could have swords, a priest could have a magic staff.
Ranger could become a Bard with party spells, or a Hunter with combat skills.
Mage could become Mystic, with healing spells, or Warlock with combad skills.
Fighter could be a Lord, with ranged weaponry or offensive magic, or Crusader with defensive magic.

Yea, thats also another good suggestion! And I like the names you've devised for each cross!

You could do this by simply increasing the min. lvl requirement to get a skill not in your class. Maybe something like you must have 2x the min. lvl to get a mage spell if you're a cleric. That way they can use the spells, just not as effectivly. They could also have some negitive stats if they are cross-class, such as -33% damage or whatever.

Well clerics are very balanced, lack of attack skills but since they arent build for that. Its good.

hehe there should be a thief class, thieves are so cool,
anyhow, paladins, shamans, shadow knights, priests, crusaders, and stuff like that all can be cleric branches
paladins would be holy fighters
shamans would be juju man with different style of healing etc with pastes instead of pots, although they can still use pots
shadow knights would be the darker version of paladins
priests will be holy buffers
druids, a healer with nature atonement
crusaders would be like lower level paladin
branching could work like this
cleric - crusader - paladin/shadow knight
cleric - priest - high priest/druid/shaman
stuff like that :)

i personally like the idea of branching and crossing classes...unfortunately it is Very, Very unlikely that they will ever implement something that so radically changes the basic game.
Outspark has paid for the right to distribute the game from the original company to specific regions...i'm guessing they cannot make any changes of such a magnitude.
What are you appealing to the GM's for anyway...? They only have control of events in-game not game software or changes of this scale.

Because... going directly to the head without support from the GM's would be GREATLY foolish. With no support whos to say your plee in any good =/

true...but the GMs are not responsible for changes like this...
I doubt they can even exert any authority over this kind of thing but I suppose it depends on the game.

if you cant say anything intelligent dont bother saying anything More-san. didnt your parents ever teach you any manners?
as far as branching. this isnt WOW. there will be no *dark knight* all the classes are *goodly* classes.
right now there's problems with the cleric class, but its more because of the skills not working the way they should. eg. Trip and Bleed at lv40.
and i have an idea, just dont pick up the skills you wont use, any major changes to the game like that are a LONG ways away, it just opened into Open Beta remember?
personally id like them to take care of the known problems and make the game play better than *branch out*.

Clerics can already outdo fighters in PVP and other areas because of healing, so this definitley put warriors out of business forever.
