What is the server ip address for Fiesta?* I'm not going to hack it.* I just want to create a server status thingy for it.* I have the code, i just need the ip address.* I'm going to post it up on my Fiesta site.

well here is how you find out, goto your outspark launcher folder, open up RB folder and open up Outsparkglobals.rb in notepad, look for login_ip.

Now I'm not 100% sure as I don't feel like seeing if that ip holds true but since its using the launcher and using globals for all the files within the rb folder to read from...

Sooo... yeah think thats the ip, but don't quote me on that XD ( and yes all the files in rb folder are unencrypted )

Hmm, by any chance, do you know what port Fiesta uses on the server?

One of the scripts I'm using requires the port number. The other script is short and simple but can't connect to the server for some reason.

I'm not sure. if you want to find out the correct ip and port without going through all the hassel... try a firewall program so it blocks the game from logging in...

freeze your internet and check the log for the ip/program running and it should (hopefully depending on what firewall program you are using) show the port(s) aswell...

try this option :D

(not quite sure but think zonealarm can do this, thats how I use to find out ports on games without having to go about it the longer route...)*

You could always get a program like Zone Alarm, which will tell you what port and IP a program is trying to connect to. Basics of hacking :P Though i'm delighted to find that every hack attampt i've made so far hasn't worked, Fiesta/Shine knows they're stuff, a LOT better than*other MMO's do. There's games*where through a memory editor you can wipe out an entire field of monsters without even pressing anything, no matter what level they are, or disconnect anyone who sees you. (mind you they USED to have these, I think they've been fixed. I hope.)

There's bots that do every single thing for you. These I know still exist, sadly with the way their client is they can't really do anything about it. Well except change to Xtrap lol.

Even*one game that's fresh out of beta (I think) has a major gap for security, where hackers make themselves invisible to monsters.

Those are just some examples, an old game that no longer exists is Gate To Heaven, which by far had the weakest security i've ever seen. You could kill everything without pressing a button, give yourself any item you wished, kill every monster and player on the server, including GMs, teleport, give yourself SUPER speed, among other things.

That's enough of my ranting, after all that I noticed that Outlaw mentioned Zone Alarm, you can get a free trial for it I think. Piracy is bad afterall.. ...*cough*

Though i'm not sure if that is a breach of ToS or not.

May want to ask a GM personally during the chance they may be free. You can usually find one accepting questions from players, preparing for an event or like Dschang, standing around like a statue doing probably super secrety stuff, he's such a mystery :) But they're all really friendly, helpful and quite honest.
