Fiesta updating/login problem

I just installed the game and as soon as it downloades the update and tries to apply it, I get this error.

Then @ the bottom left hand side of the window it says cleaning up and it never goes away and I can't login.

Then after I close the game window i get this error as well.

I am running Windows XP Pro X64(with all updates), ATI X1300 PCI-E, 2gig ram, AMD Athlon 3700 2.2GHZ

But after i reinstalled the game now there comes the message:

im having the same problem it logs on then at the bottom left corner it says checking for updates and it dosent go away ive waited for 2 hours for it but it wont go away!!!!!!!!!11

similar problem here... only i dont even get see the patching screen... launcher stays stuck with "applying patches..." at the bottom... has sat for over an hour without changing, yet task manager does not say "program not responding"... obviously when launcher is closed comes up with normal "check outspark.exe.log file" screen

i've re-installed the program 3 times today, all to the same responses - so i fail to believe its a freak glitch... i've actually had fiesta installed on this computer before... approx. 3 weeks ago... had applied all patches quickly and without fail, as well as the overall game working near seamless and perfectly... parent uninstalled through windows add/remove program b/c they didn't know what the program was... decided to install again today around 11:00 EST and have had no luck what so ever... it seems as though a new installer was created since i last installed as the process screens are a different format from my very original install... so i do not know if it is not cooperating with some operating systems or what but here are my system stats...

AMD Athlon XP 2800+
2.08 GHz, 512 MB of RAM
Plenty of HD space... over 100 GB avail.
Windows XP SP 2

i even dropped my firewall and allowed pop-ups for 10 mins this last time while trying to apply the patches to no success... (it almost appears as MS-DOS prompt attempts to open at launcher start-up) any response or hints to fix this would be greatly appreciated...

solution: here is wat you can do: go to serch and then type (pyc) it will open bunch of files here is wat you need to do..delete all of thos files thne try to reinstall fiesta if this dosent work then i dont have any solutions

Okay, it seems that everyone has a problem with the new launcher, and the fact that when it tries to update, it fails and has to abort.
We get it. We don't want to hear about how badly you want to play, all of us want to play.
That's why we need to focus on the issue here. I'm trying out some things, but so far everyone's suggestions haven't been working.
It may be something we can't do, and the admins have to fix when they can get the time to. Just please be patient and try to stay focussed on the problem.

A lot of people should just be patient. they are working as hard as they can to fix login problems. Just play another game while its getting back online, and check back reguraly to see if its online again.

I had to re install this game 3 times to get it to work after the update. And now i can't log in. When I try to log in, a text box pops and says with upside down characters ?!'_, and ?!'_2. So I'm like ok, wth is this? I hope they extend some of the sc items some of us have running or give some compensation because that stuff cost money man :p. Not sure if it's because of this new patch, but I hope you guys get it fixed asap.

Hi, I am new to this game. Although I have problems with crashing and blue screens, I HAVE found a solution to the "cannot launch...access denied" thingy. Well, for me, since I have a firewall like COMODO, it immediately recognizes the new file as potential hostile. You may need to set the firewall to let it recognize the file and allow its access. pity that I still can't play. BUT this problem IS fixed ... for me.
