this is a SC based thing so bare with it

they wanted a SC item and instead of silver or gold which i see in shout all the time, they offer to trade in game item (didnt pay attention to it after that so not sure what they said after)

so gifting people for gold is a NO NO

but what about in game items (weapons, shields, learning scrolls etc etc)

Its still not allowed, and for the same reason. There is a high risk of getting scammed.

From the TOS-Rules of Conduct:

h) You may not market, promote, advertise, or solicit (including multi-level marketing and chain letters) through the Outspark Service. This covers any type of virtual assets available on or through the Outspark Service as well as other online games and any real world items.

i dont think that clause would cover this thou

but if you could have a gm or csr comment and make it offical since items are not in game currency

i am just curious to their view on this

it does cover it
'game gold' is used to cover anything ingame - people try to argue that gems aren't gold, that silver aren't gold.
trading anything that's ingame, for anything that you pay for with spark cash is a violation of the terms.

but they are actively banning violators of many things lately, from trading, warping to dungeons, overly spamming, spawn killing and all those other things people do and think they can get away with - so by all means try it - cause i'm sure GM's never go undercover to see if people are doing it (they do, by the way).

then, when you get banned, you can confirm that it is bannable (even though you've already been told 3 times now)

for one i wont gift people i dont know and for 2 i gift because i want to, i have enough things and money so, and i dont like wasting anymore real money then i have to on sc stuff so lol, meaning i have and never will gift for any thing in game, other then a thank you lol

this is what was said in the annoucment

"It is a violation of our terms of service to exchange any items from the store with game currency. Do not solicit gifting to and from other users especially if you don't know them and do not ask for game currency money (gold or silver). If you engage in this activity, we will suspend and possibly terminate your account."

so when i say people (might have been even in general chat) but i pretty sure i saw someone trying to get a gift for in greens (like i said i wasnt paying any attention) but i rethought about the idea and was curious about that because again in game items like greens arnt currency per say so in the end i am most likely helping them out by them maybe adding about in game items as well

its against tos but only way to report it is you getting screenie of someone saying B> sc items for (ingame money, items ect)
or vise versa of someone selling

i mean if you shouted like
"looking for someone to gift me something" then they made deal in like msn messenger or something, kinda hard to trace it

I would seriously doubt they would rely only on chats.
I am pretty sure they would look at game activity itself, more complicated but much more conclusive.
[like sc-gift sent to X, gold received from X => flag raised]

It's been made pretty clear that the selling of CS items is an illegal action. If anyone has evidence of this taking place you can feel free to report it and it will be investigated. The CSRs are able to review the transactions for any player to see what was sold to whom for what amount.

On this note, I am going to go ahead and close this thread now...
