I just did the KQ, and we beat it with 30 minutes left to spare. Got EXP, box, etc, but no kill credits for either of the bosses that it says to kill "with my friends"

Are you sure your group got the killing blow? "with your friends" do you mean they got the credit but you didn't and you were in the same party?
Just know that you or your party have to land the final blow on the monster....
