Now You See It, Now You Don't?

I'll start by saying that I've played Fiesta on this computer, with these settings, and all I did was download the latest patches and such. Now, when I start Fiesta, I have no trouble whatsoever logging in then the game window pops up and begins to load. But when it gets to about 2/3 completion, the window disappears without any warning or error message. I've already restarted three times with no success (obviously) and I REALLY don't want to have to wait another hour to uninstall and reinstall the game then wait another hour to redownload all the patches. Is there anything I can do here?

So I finally broke down and uninstalled Fiesta and tried to download it again. Now the only thing that happens is it attempts to download a file, slows my computer to hell, then stops and starts over after getting to 99% after almost an hour. Not only that but the estimated download time is now 8 hours? I'm sorry, but I don't have that kind of time to sit at my computer and watch it die over and over again.
