In the past two weeks or so, I seen Elrue1 prices rise from an average 40c to 50c. Lix1 and Xir1 prices haven't changed much.

I have a feeling that a lot of the inflation in elrue price has to do with people buying the dusts to make it rather than collecting on their own and still needing to make a profit. However, you'll notice that the price of Elrue[2] has dropped so drastically that it now sells cheaper than the price you would get from the NPC for selling the drops used to make it. I've begun keeping a small supply on hand for personal use and selling those tier 2 drops. It's just not worth selling the finished product at a loss.

I think the exact opposite is likely, not inflation, but it's exact opposite. prices on pretty much everything are skyrocketing, and the primary sources of income, like elrue and lix have been flooded. noone can make money hunting elrue, and those who have money don't want to spend it on elrue 2 or upgrading weapons. now that everyone knows about KQs giving +3+ weapons, very few people care to upgrade.
Further, with more and more newbies joining, and making it past the 20 barrier and job change, most no longer wish to upgrade a higher weapon, as the cost of failure increases so drastically.
