upon selecting the outspark launcher it says it is searching for the latest patch.

it begins downloading the patch but cancels immediatly, stating "could not find application start".

following that it says "cleaning files", but apparently the launcher is frozen.

then I have no choice but to exit launcher, and restart, but upon doing so, it apparently messes up the install, as the launcher does not work a second time.

I then am forced to reinstall outspark.

upon reinstalling, I attempt this ludicrous series several more times, but notice there is a new client on the website.

thinking that the new client would fix my problem, I download it and start it up, only for the exact same problem as before happen.

repeat 2 times. then I post this complaint.

now I will tell you as much as possible about my computer, so you can hopefully explain why in gods name is this happenning to me.

I have a WindowsX64. I installed Fiesta under its default directory, which would be at the C drive Program Files (x86). I have no problem hooking up to the internet, I have broadband DSL.

You may think of me as an idiot, but I have no virus protection software running ever, so that cannot be interfering. My Firewall is always on low.

I seem to have about 45 gigabytes left of hard disk space (1/4 approximately of my maximum), so if there would be any at all conflict with a patch fitting on my computer, it would likely be impossible.

Finally, I found a txt file the launcher has made that may be of use.

I will copy and paste the information here:

Finally, if you cannot reach me within a week or so if you have found out the problem (or if you cannot find out the problem and need more information) please send me an email. I have many email addresses though so you may need to send me a response to a few of them if I am to have any chance of noticing (I'm very haphazard with SPAM).

i bet it's windowsx64 which is causing the error. I've got the same problem, and in my own history of troubleshooting it was my system everytime which made the troubles(windows64)

The windows x64 interface obviously has the x86 emu for x32 applications. I have been using x64 for 8 years now and the only application I have had trouble running was iTunes before the x64 OS fix. I am receiving this same problem on my x32 system as well as my x64. So it can't be the OS.

There are hundreds of threads about patch problems. Posting new threads about it is just going to cause a larger headache for admins and henceforth it will take longer for them to fix the problem. "search" is a valuable thing, just like Google.
