Yeah well, today I noticed that I get less EXP in a party than I get when killing them without a party.
And by that I don't mean the usual division among the party. In fact the sum of every party member's gained EXP is lower than it is for a solo kill.
As an example:
Killing a Blue Crab solo is worth 6 EXP.
Killing another Blue Crab in a party of 2 was worth 1 EXP for me and 2 EXP for my friend.
We are level 16 and 12.

Someone explain that to me, please. :(

There are three factors which determine XP from partying.

1: Your level.

When with someone of a higher or lower level than you, the amount of XP you receive is altered. In this case, you were killing a weak enemy, which does not give you good experience at the best of times. You received more XP than your friend as you are a higher level than him, but he gained less XP than you both because you are a high enough level to drop crab XP, and because he's a lower level than you.

2: The number of people.

Experience is divided by the number of members. Two members of equal level gain equal experience to one another. However, you also gain a 10% increase in experience per member, resulting in the following examples:

5 members = 1/5 experience + 50% = 3/10 experience.
2 members = 1/2 experience + 20% = 6/10 experience.

Therefore the reduction of XP for partying is greatly reduced.

3: The enemy.

Higher levelled enemies give more experience regardless of all other factors. Facing enemies which are orange or red to you whilst partied gives better overall experience (when combined with the increased killing speed) than facing hordes of green, grey or yellow enemies.
