Character Sprites

I'm going to make my suggestions for character sprites short and simple.

1. Add more hairstyles, I cannot stress this enough. The ones we have so far are ugly as hell.

2. REMOVE THE LIPS! PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD REMOVE THE LIPS! The hairstyles wouldn't be as half-bad if we didn't have those ugly fish lips.

That is all.

P.S. I know that it's closed beta, but it doesn't take much work to add in those suggestions.

P.S.S. Some new hair colors to choose from would be nice too.

Uhmm... i dont think those are lips i kinda see them as a nose and if you kinda remove those nose thing which looks like lips it would be like R.O and I agree add more hairstyles the default ones are ugly as hell..... and overhaul the costumes for each class green and dirty white dont mix for the rogue, brown makes the fighter like a decrepit monster from the stoneage and green for archers makes them look like cabbages and oh yeah make items which are two handed and double wield I hate seeing a rogue with a shield and change the mages costumes they look like beggars.

I've played a lot off different MMOs in the past year and i'm looking for a really good one. And the first impression is always the thing that brings people into the game at first. Ussualy the first thing you see if the custamization of ur character. My impression of it was

1 There were very few styles of hair and color of hair. I accualy kept going through them because i thought i couldn't see the colors right.

2 I also wish that you could pick out a few different sets of clothes. Like i could pick out some Black pants with a Red T. It just depends on how much detail you want to put into the start up of the game.

But as I said my first impression was that this game was still in its Beta stages and that it wasn't ready for release.

naw there class creation on this game is one of the most limited ones i've seen so far. wow has a decent amount and final fantasy has a lil bit less. and this game gives u very lil choice when creating it. male, female, hair style, color? thats it. i'm pretty sure tho they will increase it. every player wants there own unique look to them and SoS will realize that there's a very high demand for more choices in the character creation area.

*** does closed "beta" mean?? holy crap u people act as if they've took the game out of the beta stages already.. two words -.- stop *****ing let the gms do their job this post was to suggest not to degrade a game that is not even fully completed yet.

its not degrading, did i say character creation sucks nope. stated its limited and it will increase in time as GM become more aware that there is many request for it. learn what beta means we find bugs report them, we suggest what needs to be changed and if a large enough demand is needed its changed. beta means for us players that put a lot of time into grinding to reach a certain lvl and say hey this needs to be changed and what not

like i said learn what beta is, i'm not *****ing did i say omg*** where is the character creation what was those GM thinkin? no and the more ppl that state what they want helps them out even more. I mean really you had to post just to see yourself type and giggle afterwards. Well thats enough said on that I look forward to more post from you.

lol, if u wear a helmet or a head wear, u would see the hair lol, and who cares about the lip, u have great observation looking at these little details nobody cares.

Really you people are too naive. This are not degrading or whatsoever they're called constructive criticism and just because its still beta doesn't give you people the right to criticize what people are thinking. The reasons they made beta was to hear the TESTERS reaction and suggestions and opinions regarding the game and please be serious we weren't born the same because of our different environments and each person's opinion in building a good game counts, I say give them a chance to speak up and you'll get your chance. Its also pretty obvious compared to other MMORPG's they lack skills, classes and appearance. Its a known fact that people tend to judge 2D games unfairly compared to 3D and it is also a known fact that the game was Ragnarok based and it is this reason why the production team need to draw a line between functionality and appearance as well as gameplay and not a lawsuit from gravity. I might say some people misjudge them too completely and use the shallowest of reasons - its still "BETA" thing.

But yeah, I agree that, for the sake of progress, one of the priorities of the art team would probably be adding 2 new hairstyles and 2 new colors.

< Problems with Lips? or classes? I kinda disagree there.... making those 4 base-classes is pretty nice and I wouldn't really want to see that change... however, weapons are currently rather limited to classes...
What I *HAVE* issues with, though, is that the archer is too many levels away. It takes a lot of levelling before you get the possibility to even use ranged weapons. Once the earlier levels get rearranged a bit, though, you could start the first classes at lvl10 and the 2nd choice at lvl 25-30.

Heh. I was thinking the same thing, but I was scared that mentioning that game in another's forum would end in heartache :D
