I wonder if it would be possible in game to set an area around npc characters so that players could not set up a shop so close it makes it difficult to click on the character. I've noticed lately that this happens a lot in the hotels in Essene and Bryn and with the center transporter in Essene and in Jot.

Omg I know! One time this girl set up shop right on the Bryn Transporter. And I was in a hurry too. I was like, OMFG! COME ON! WHO SETS SHOP UP RIGHT ON THE TRANSPORTER! GAH!
I support this.

No, I generally move my screen around until I can do what I wanted to. I make a point of not buying anything off of such rude, selfish and thoughtless individuals.

Yup.. same here. They DO need to have a small no shop zone around NPCs. Wouldn't have to be much, just enough to let us use the NPC's without hassle.

it doesn't disable u to get to the npc, so there is nothing wrong with this.
some people think they have a better chance of selling things by making a shop by an npc, it gets them noticed doesn't it?..

Pooch, we know it doesn't disable you from doing so. But it makes it really hard to get to the NPC you desire to get to. And if we are trying to get to the NPC, and someone has a Shop Window open on them, why would we bother buying stuff from ppl making our lives harder? I know I wouldn't. Unless it was like a 5k Xen Stone or something. o.O

I love this idea. Some NPCs are almost impossible to click when there's someone in front of them, like in the hotels where you can't turn the screen much.

Yes. It does.
Unless I spend about 5 minutes trying to get the right amount of zoom and just the right angle, I can't click the NPC. And since I'm on a laptop, I can't zoom unless I have my mouse. So I'm basically effed with the touchpad. And there isn't even 180 degree rotation in hotels. When there's more than one moron with a shop, it's practically impossible to get to the NPC.
There's nothing wrong with making a shop NEAR an NPC, but these people do it purposly to make it difficult to access the NPC.
The need to implement this, it doesn't seem like it would be too hard. There are places with no skills allowed, so why not no shops?
