We need an Ignore List!

Hello. I think we need an Ignore list. Like you can't get pms from other player. or the gold spammers. Just so you can't see them spam. It would be nice.

I concur. Being able to right click a person's name in the chat log to ignore them would be a great idea. Especially for gold site spammers, when you can ignore AND report them in a single click.

good idea. let block them out chat. set up the game with block list. you cant hear them, see them and they cant hear you, see you! :D

what is needed is to block the i.p. of that spammers.

maybe you are looking for a filter system where you can either talk to those you are party with, guild with and then a general one for people who are trying to sell stuff, or a seelers filter for them only and the general one can be used if you are trying to meet new people? it's an idea, that way people who need to sell things and people who need help get filtered into thier own areas leaving you and your party free on another filter.

I know most of the spam is form newbies who need help and are really rude about it or people selling items in the town areas which slow the game down hugely.

I wouldn't hold my breath for an ignore feature. We have been asking since June and as you can see, we still don't have one :(

But since everyone uses the ignore list now to place gold-sellers on, everyone's list soon reaches a thousand and beyond, multiplied by everyone in the finished version of Fiesta, thus causing massive lag due to the server having to keep track of millions and millions of ignore lists, and eventually shutting down the game.

In all seriousness though, would every person have an ignore list inside their computer or something? I don't know much about computers, so where would all of this data go, since supposedly many people would be using this feature and probably not bother to delete names of the gold-sellers who were banned the next day.

Exactly and since this is OB the GM's should be looking for ideas to help improve the game. Topics like this where users can post their solutions and ideas are usually a good thing. :P

Most of the time, ignore funstions are purely client sided.

But again, puting gold sellers on ignore isn't even close to a fix against them.
Think about E-mail spam, there are solutions against them now, but before, I was deleting and remaking my ignore list over and over, bc it filled up very fast.

I'd actually prefer getting a "stealth mode" feature implemented in the friends list, just in case you don't like being bombarded with help/party please invites the moment you log in (or hiding from some guild you owe money to :D).
