Yah, the question that's always asked: "How can I get money?". Yah, I'm wondering the same thing. As you fellow Mages probably know, weak as we are, knocking off a couple of bats to get dim gem dust isn't something we'd have on our everyday agendas. Or knocking off one, for that matter. And since we are so weak, parties hardly ever accept us. I find myself dealing the most damage during battles... But no one could ever notice, because they barely notice the awesome shing, shing of the flame spells going off against the monster they're attacking.

But anyways, back to the point of the topic: We can't get money. Not very easily, at least. Harvesting and farming is much too tedious for Sonolias, my Mage. And it takes half of a day to make 1 silver, which isn't much, I found out on recently becoming a "biggie level guy". Soooo... Any other ideas on how to make money? Discuss.

I'm also interested in this question. As money is something that very difficult to get as much as we need, besides prices are growing :D in any case, for me the only way to get money for the moment is to kill, collect and then sell all that. Sometimes, if i'm lucky to join some nice party with nice people - they kill, i collect, but usually everything by my own. In truth, not so bad - i've already reacher 12lvl in couple of days.

Production skills, from what I hear.

Make a ton of scrolls, pots, stones, whatever you specialize in, keep half for yourself and sell the rest. If you're lacking materials, go buy 'em with purchase stores.

Of course, I haven't tried it to its full effect by myself. My production skills suck right now and I have a weak idea of what to price things at.

Yea...I'd like to know as well...I have issues getting money as well....maybe us mages need to get together and go on a party hunt for large packs of bad guys...I'm at work right now, but once I get home in about 3 1/2 hours...I'll be on all night....look me up...LuckyRibbs:D

Off the top of my head I can think of two things.

Try tp participate in an event and get some rare drops(not that hard if you try) and sell it for some cash. Pets are great and can sell for 30 to 50 silver.

Join a guild that helps its members, and always party in a seq. loot full party for max benifit.

As a cleric, having a mage by my side is like having a loaded gun I need to constantly take care of and reload, but god forbid I ever lose it.

Hahaha, the newest Cleric weapon:

MAGE
Item Level: Whatever it was trained to.
Req. Level: Whenever you can find it.
M. Damage: Variable (can be boosted by feeding scrolls)
Off-hand Weapon.

Description: A spellcaster that works like a magic gun. Has a magic pool which is used when attacking. Slowly regenerates ammunition by itself.
WARNING: May spontaneously disconnect.

Yeah. I found a pet in a random chest, and sold it for 30s. that happened like... 3 or 4 or 5 days ago. Now I'm bankrupt

Having money to spend doesnt depend on class it depends on the player if your one who saves coin only to blow it all on all the newest skills you can get or random "usefull" items for that level period than ofcourse you'll be broke.
also i say choose 1 profession like scroll crafting and only work that up through levels and sell what it doesnt need. instead of trying to level two professions at the same time. theres obvious steps to take to make money...just sit still awhile and ignore all those shiney shop advertisements and think about it.

I wouldn't consider my character rich as of yet, but I make a pretty descent amount of money just by buying scroll materials and then selling the scrolls, especially if you fill a shop with power, vit, and sp scrolls they seem to be the most popular scrolls and sell from 100-200cp each not everyone likes to leave their comp logged in while away but I usually just setup shop to sell the scrolls or buy the mats to make them while I'm at work and then my shop is almost always empty when I get home I can usually make 10-20 silver by simply leaving my shop on while I'm at work

Ok ok, easy way to get like 4,5 silver is going to Collapsed Prison and stealing all the item drops. Its evil, but it works. I actiually got chewy meat, tier 3 pots, lusterd dust, intact bone, and like so many other things in a few minutes and got 5s and something copper. But you need to remember that if your not a lvl. that can kill things there, then you have to take the risk of losing exp. ( Get a mover, it'll help u run away from enemies and saves you alot of exp.) ^^

Okay, Production skills? THOSE are your tickets to cash.

It's not actually that quick, but it does help. I can make a couple of silvers in a day. Just buy materials, make 'em, and cram the stuff into your shop for a profitable price.
