View Full Version : Mages and INT

So after becoming WizMage I didn't realize I had 5 stat points suddenly. The entire time I had been doing I'd say a max of 250 to smart phinos, minimum about 200 or so. This being with magic missile. Now, I went and added the points all to int once I realized I got a small boost there, and went back to fighting...and was doing the same damage. Is INT (the INT you add, the + beside it that is, not the main stat #) not affecting magic damage? Or is it just not affecting it enough? I mean if I'm going to add 5 point to INT, or get a +INT ring, I want it to actually do something, not just increase damage by a couple of points. Sure when you level up you get a nice damage boost but that's your main stats being increased that gives you that, not the + you add to it with points.

Is any body else noticing how null the effect of it is? Is it just me? I'd hope it's a bug because if not mages seriously get screwed over. D:

small affect.. very small... hardly noticeable.. lol... but keep adding INT, and use +int rings, it will increase the magic damage for sure.

Screw that, if this is how crappy the addition is I'm gonna go 1:1 END:SPR or something. Or 1:2.

yeah of coz ur HP will go up.. otherwise thats a big bug lol.... but yeah everything is hardly noticeable... even if u add str, its kinda hard to notice the difference in the dmg...

i pile all my stats into int. i believe it does affect the damage quite greatly. it is the only thing that affects magic damage right?

int is bugged atm..

equip + int's work and affect damage

but if you add int with points, it won't change the max damage at all.

this is because it is a bug. they will fix this for open beta most likely. lets hope. It has already been posted as a bug.

I hope you can reset stats then because if INT's still so screwed up in OB then I'mgoing to go with a full AOE build.

Im experimenting with crit with both my mage and hunter, so my build is curretnly 2:3 Int, Spr. No end. When i get my crit chance to 5% i will start going 2:3 end:spr

I think it only adds damage for every +10 to the stat.
