Dont panic because Clerics can make money better than any other class since they burn less stones than the other 3 classes however they have more skills than the other 3 classes.
At some point in the game you will find yourself unable to buy all the equipment/skills you need this is why you should farm for some items and sell them or wait until you get to uruga for easy fast cash

Are you kidding me? At level 20 you should make ~6s per quest as a cleric. If you're really short on cash don't even use sp stones, just rest your sp. If you get attacked when resting, don't panic, when you get past half hp simply un-home, then heal yourself, then go to home again until full sp. I could handle like 3 gold slimes using that technique.

It's normal to have that kind amount of money in the early 20's.
My advice is to do a lot of Mara KQs, so you can get enhanced equips to wear or sell.
Alternatively, you can try to gather scroll materials and make a load of scrolls to sell.

Yeah, once you get around level 30 it gets easier, you quest your level 30-40 armor, I have about 110s built up now since i don't have to waste it on armor. Plus monsters drop the yellow border items that sell for 50c to vendors a lot more.

I was in the same position at your level... hardly any money, and very worried I wouldn't be able to get my gear/skills. In fact, I had to lay off buying the less important skills for quite a while. Thankfully, I got a +4 Blessed Armor from a Mara KQ chest so that helped me TONS. Now at level 30, I still have some skills I can't get, but thankfully you can quest for your armor so you've got a little reprieve. :)
What I suggest is trying to find a semi-decent party, and go to either Luminous Stone level 2, or Burning Hill, and hope or ask to put sequential loot on. I'm not sure what Sten was talking about getting 6s a quest.. I never got that much money from a quest and selling the items I got from doing it. Anyway, when you can get to Moonlight Tomb, it'll get a little easier. Some monsters drop silver lumps worth 1 silver a piece (to the vendor), and they usually drop more than one. Also, the herbs such as rosemary, violet, basil and ramsear sell for really good money even to the vendor. Dangerous mushrooms too, people seem to buy them pretty often in town for 100c a piece at least.

Nah don worry its easy later to get money ;) Just try like me to get some materials cheap and sell them later or do lots of kq like mini dragon you get always a xir 3 so 11s when npc it ^^ ! I sell eldy scrolls that i buy for 500c and sell them later in uruga for 1 s each so for ful buy its 25 s not bad ;)

if you want to make money dont do KQ all you get from them is a ton of EXP although this sounds good its not. What happens is you get high level with no money to buy your skills or new Armor. to make money farm mobs and collect the drops then sell them... sell to people not NPC... you will learn fast what sells and doesnt sell....
people who say do KQ to get items to sell is just wrong: first you rarely get an item out of the 30 ot 40 Mara KQ i did i got one item... archer stuff that didnt help me. second stuff you get from KQ is white + items, everyone kow white items = suck. thrid white items doesnt sell no one wants them no matter what the + on them are. The earrings suck and are easy to buy, lots of people do KQ and try to get rid of their 20 pairs of the same earrings.

hey , don't worry about that
money making will become easier
i'm lvl 27 mage and i have 105s
i used to have little more
--------------------
u can make money by selling eld scrolls
i used to sell them 1.5s each
and green stuff u get can be sold about 10~30s
u can sell stones (elrues, lixs and xirs)
t1 for 50~100c,500c~1s,2s~5s
t2 for 1~1.5s ,3~6s , 9~13s
but it (stone selling) doesn't work alot
these my ways to make money
u can sell scrolls don't really know thier prices
------------Good Luck --------

To second what another said, if you are short on money doing KQs is probably the absolute worst thing you could do. Equipment is rare and won't make you the money you need.
The money jump for stuff at 20 is a bit overwhelming but by the mid to high 20's if you havn't excessively done kqs, npcing all drops will get you enough money. Levels get longer and all that so you end up making money. Your 20 weapon is free, don't be a fool like so many people run off to enhance it and blow it up. After that buy only essential skills.
Beyond npcing everything, look for people with purchase stores up that's a good way to make money. Also scrolls, potions, and enhancement stones sell well so you could take up a production skill.

Nya~ Everyone's so worried about money...
When Aero was that level, she has so less money. What did she do? Sit around and talk like nothing's happening ^^
Don't worry too much (and DEFINATELY not panic), as you go on, there will be loads and loads of chances to make money! <3
Have fun! And just remember: the game's not all about money, though it is important. ;D
Uber love <3

Clerics tend to have enough money, coz they need to spend less on stones, so dont worry, it will come.

Hahahaha....Aero seems like a cool person...
Anyways, just farm and sell the stuff you get. =/
I'm a level 47 cleric with only 70 something silver, which is not good, but I just farm and do quests! :D

Ha... You guys think playing cleric is costy? Try mages. It's even more costy. for the basic spells, Thunder, fire ball, ice, and magic missile, each has like 6-7 levels and MM has 10 lv. from lv 4+, each cost 4s and above. buy all of them? damn......
and not mentioning other skills after like life tap, and all kind of skills... Oh... and don't forget $$ for stones and pots. Mages are really for the richs...

Stick with level 1 skills which do more damage since of low cooldown. So really mages don't need to buy all those skills. Mages aren't a solo class so it is hard to make money. They depend on partying to level like many other people and they are always picked in parties. Soloing provides many drops for you which is a good way to get money. People who solo effectively can make some huge amounts of money.;)

Mages are poor cause they shoot themselves in the foot. MM and FB don't have to be upgraded at all and using them costs almost no sp so you don't spend that much on stones/pots. Fighter's and archers are probably the worst cause they burn sp like crazy. Even then though after the initial hit at 20 you should be able to keep up with equipment/skill costs by npcing everything, which of course makes the least money.

I actually like doing KQs my self, probably because I'm too busy (aka lazy) to level much :P. For Mara KQ's I usually get a least 1 B Lix from a quest and you can sell them from 1-1.5 silver. Earrings also sell for 1~2s and people buy them too. It might take a while to sell, but leave it up overnight and people will buy.
Other than that, making scrolls/potions/stones is a good way to make money too. Just set up shop outside roumen to buy materials from the newbies. Don't be stingy when buying from newbies though~ it helps the economy along ;)
Doing this and of course collecting stuff from grinding and now at lv26, I've saved up 40s or so. Hope that helps :D

I mostly solo because the money is much better, I like to get all the drops from all the kills, In parties--even on sequential I never feel I'm getting a reasonable return, and some fighters think you should be happy as a cleric to bask in their exp glory and let them have it all.
I also have my main make stones and my second make pots and scrolls so I never have to buy them.
Avoid enchanting until you have a spare weap/or armor. I screwed up at lvl 20 and lost my hammer I got from my quest to a failed enchantment. Had to buy another and it wiped out the 6 silver I'd accumulated at the time, which was all I had left after buying all my skills and armor-- even though that happened, I was never forced to sell anything I desperately wanted to keep.
Tried compose and decomp, jury still out but cant see it making me any money, ever.
I Look for bargains for stuff I will need at the next few levels so I am not scrambling at last minute, esp if I spot some greens with good stats going for less than bare weap/armor. Course now I have full sets of various greens and hate to sell. until I really need space. I already have my lvl 50 stuff, for examp.
At level 42 I have about one gold, and tons of high priced stuff stored in 4 character inventories. I don't have much time to sell in a shop, only can leave up once in a while overnight, so sell many drops to folks shrooming and some to NPC. With so much reserves, it hasn't been really important to get best prices. I also buy all avail spells and even make level 2 pots--even though not justified economically.
