INPUT : WE DID IT TO OURSELVES. ITS SUPPLY AND DEMAND. THEN THERES COMPETITION AMONG CONSUMERS. YUU ALL WANT THE SAME THING... BUT HOW MUCH R YUU WILLING TO PAY? ONE PERSON SAYS THEY'LL PAY MORE. SO NATURALLY, THE SUPPLIERS, WISH TO MAKE MORE MONEY, AND SELL TO THIS PERSON. IN ORDER FOR ANY1 ELSE TO GET ANYTHING, THEY HAVE TO PAY MORE THAN THE OLD REGULAR PRICE ALSO. UNTIL THE NEW HIGHER PRICE, IN ACTUALITY, BECOMES THE NORM. I REMEMBER WHEN XENS WERE, SAY, 200K ish. MOST HIGH LVL PLAYERS (WAS USUALLY DYNASTY MEMBERS, I USUALLY SOLD TO OMNIS FENRIR EVEN THOUGH HE OFFERED A LITTLE LESS THAN THE OTHERS :P) LIKED TO AOE, THEREFORE, NEEDED XENS FOR DEFENSE AND STUFF, UNDERSTANDABLE. YUU SEE YELLOW EGG SHOUTS, BUYING XENS, THIS PRICE. THE NEXT PERSON SHOUTS A MINUTE OR SO LATER, AT A HIGHER PRICE. SO SUPPLIERS GIVE TO THAT NEXT PERSON. XEN PRICES ROSE. THERES NOT MUCH OF A SOLUTION FOR OUR HIGHER PRICES NOW. UNLESS ANY1 WHO SELLS THINGS, ALL AGREE TO SELL AT ABOUT THE SAME PRICE NO MATTER HOW MUCH PPL R WILLING TO PAY. WHICH OF COURSE, WONT HAPPEN, BECAUSE WE AS A PPL, KINDA WOULD LIKE AS MUCH AS WE CAN GET. WELL.... THATS MY IMPUT. THANK YUU TO MY ECONOMICS CLASS FOR TEACHING ME THIS STUFF, HAHA. ANY1 FEEL FREE TO DISAGREE.... THATS JUST HOW I SEE IT :P

We could be experiencing a couple of evolutionary events as to the spike in item pricing. First, I believe there was an influx of new players from January thru February, due to the large number of people that became lvl80's in the expansion pack of another game, and finished the final quests, laying waste to the Lich King. We migrated to this game. Now we had an increase in population in Solstice, Marian to be exact, so there was alot of low levels out grinding and getting alot of aloes, leathers, and woods for example. I believe this increase in stores and items started to dictate the prices, as supply was increased, and the prices from late February to mid March dropped somewhat on aloes, leathers, and woods. But not so much on Zens, they remained around 650-800k. Now we are having a seasonal change, and more players are spending less time in Solstice, as outdoors activities are increasing. I've seen a spike in the prices of woods and leathers go from 65k to 200k. The demand is there, and the supply isn't. Soon, we will see a drop in the pricing, as the kron supply starts to dry up, because of fewer players.

Supply and demand don't matter if you're opening a shop. You should keep a set price base in your shop. If you see some one shouting for the items you have, then you can ask for more, but that is selling direct to the consumer.

And xens appear equivalently for all lvls, it's just a matter of how fast things get killed and whether or not you can aoe and, well, how lucky you get.

Anything that has a quest drop quest, i.e. a quest that causes auto drops, should not have a high price on the items, like butter, salt, and cheese, especially when it's really low lvl monsters that quest drop.

If you run around the mines at lvl 66 with 170 def, that's your choice, don't charge ppl high prices just cause you made your choice.

I, myself, charge the right prices no matter what the state of supply is. Actually, I charge lower than the suggested market price. And who do you think makes more kron, some one who sells above market price or some one who sellls below? Some one who sells below, cause they will sell everything real fast. Of course, some of my prices are based on the March/April market before the enhancements updates, but they're still lower than anything out there.

I'm going to make my own Marian pricing topic that will be much more thorough for everything a lvl 60 130-140 def squire can do. They will be the current prices according to my thoughts, not what I see in game.

I agree with mapit full heartedly it's unfair that just because your class choice happens to have the easier aoe skill and you can farm the hell outta stuff doesn't give u the right to earn more than serious players that lvl for a real reason (to become strong and not just to be a noob). I believe the only large prices should be gears and this over pricing of quest items is total BS seen as ur only helping the lazy classes get rich by them not doing much for it!! at least make them work as hard as we all do to lvl for their money!!!!

BLANK xD lol well the only way to basically control prices is for EVERYONE to not buy at the outrageous prices (one reason i farmed most my pet quest items myself. 100k for strawberries O.o seriously Dx) i know we get deseperate at times for certain items buuuuut caving in and buying the overpriced items just keeps them selling it like that. would be nice if ppl saw this and used it as some sort of guide so things dont get out of hand =)
on a side note.... marian server does not have counsil set up yet :P HUGS to ya BLANK cya ingame some time ^^ ps... leave meh hair alone Dx

sighs ... its happeing again

ok guys, you have to realize something,
players rarely go on the forums,
no one is going to use this price guide
there was an original price guide made b4 this and it obviously wasnt a sucess

furthermore, prices isnt going to lower anytime soon, because it will require sacrifice by the higher level people and they never sacrifice since they are richer than most players, (they earned the money while leveling) oh and also as long as there are alt sellers,(there will always be alt sellers) prices are going to be overpriced, and no one can do anything about it

my idea for you guys, is to farm the items you need, you lvl and get richer that way
