Hotkey bar and F Keys

Ive searched the forms, checked the UI thuroughly and completely went through every file in the directory to find some way to change the hotkeys from F1-F10 to something else -- preferably the 1-0 keys. F keys are so far away its annoying... Is there ANYTHING I can do to change these settings, as well as other shortcuts if possible?

I don't think there is a way.

I dont understand why they would put it on the F keys in the first place! Its by far the worst location for hotkeys besides the Print Screen/Scroll Lock/Pause buttons.
