Archer Builds

After playing the game for a while, i noticed thers tons of archers out there. so in the archer community, how have you guys statted? ive gotten 10 str. 6 dex and 2 end. i think its alright, some damage boost, reasonable amount of evasion, but im finding that i take a LOT of damage. Is there a build out there that people have to take less def?

PvP builds are STR/DEX, or pure STR


If you want to go PvE, and take less damage from monsters I suggest going STR/DEX/END, with a 1:2:3 ratio in that order.

I went pure Dex and I get hit probably a quarter of the time by monsters in my level range. Problem is that I've noticed I do very little damage compared to everybody else.


If I use Archers after CB then I'll probably go with a Crossbow and use a 1:1 STR/DEX build.

I went Dex/Spr mainly because of the guide the gm's put out

and well...i think im gonna end up trying something else cuz my damage isnt that great and i dont crit as often as id like

IMO, survivability is best for PVP, so max hp.

a couple of points in Endurance might be ok.but putting most in it is NOT a good idea. You get like 5 hp for 1 point of end. they would be better spent in dex. it increases evasion. getting hit less is more important than 25-30 more hp. if the mob hits you one less time a fight it will save you more than the 25 hp will ( just my opinion and based on PVE)

PVE, sure, but from experience (at least in WoW) high hp is much better for PVP. (not saying ALL points in it, but most would be best imo)

Id say Dex for the Evasion and Aim, and Spr for the +crit chance.* high End is good for PVP (like in WoW) but keep in mind that as of right now once a stat point is put it, it can't be taken out and higher damage Archers are going to be wanted more than ones that can take hits.*


Putting into Str instead of Spr is up to the individual (getting +damage is a garuntee where +crit is only a chance) but i prefer Spr because you can also get magic resist with it.

I went with DEX and SPR too. DEX because I'd rather just not get hit than have a couple dozen extra HP. I guess STR could be more reliable than SPR for consistent damage, but it's so cool when you get those crits and the extra magic defense is nice. Maybe I'll try a STR/DEX build after the wipe.

So really the question was "what's the best spec for archers?" NOT "what's the best pvp spec?"

I have a pure Dex Archer and it sux when compare with a pure Str Archer
