It's some bug you get from shops with wierd characters. Theres one in uruga always like that.. :/

Lol, silly me thinking you'd just edited the chat really well >.<
I don't have a definite solution but I would try the following:
1) ESC>Game Settings>Reset Interface
2) Log out of the client and log back in
3) Submit a ticket to Outspark
4) Should nothing else work...reinstall.

yeah, it does look edited. ive never had that glitch, but the worst ones are the target casting range glitch and the one where u cant click on party member's picture on the side to heal them. have to press f1 f2 f3 f4 or f5 and that makes it harder. instead of adding stuff on the next patch, they need to FIX THE GLITCHES.

um yea REALLY im sick of going in teh 7x abyss and tryign to kill a ??? mage while its out of target range and it kicks my *** WHILE I CANT DO ANYTHIGN >< damn glitch ima fighter so that glitch is REALLY REALLY bad

ive had that glitch before twice now, relogging sorted it............ think first one i was shopping 2nd im sure i was talking to an npc or maybe buying from one hmm i forget

I've had this glitch happen lots! its caused by not having the proper character sets installed on your machine, i've yet to figure out which one i'm missing.
However here is my Simple solution that hasn't failed me
On Vista Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and bring up the Task Manager)
by the time my vista goes back into my profile the black text is all normal.
Simple and faster than relogging.
