Archers..suck?

dont take me as a hater against archers(although I really do think they are annoying).But i've noticed that archers are the weakest class after 2nd class.

Honestly, it depends on your playing strategy. For any MMO i've ever played, this one especially, Rangers/Archers, whatever you call them in whatever game, have worked best for me. It just seems you haven't found your gaming style yet...

i have a lvl 31 cleric and a lvl 20 archer and i love the archer they do alot of damage. Most people don't just get it.

At the higher levels, archers have the upper hand when it comes to killing things quickly and being able to take blows. Their poison/disease skills are really useful when it comes to killing high level monsters, for instance Orcs, because it doesn't get decreased by the monster's defence. This adds to the archer's overall damage per second.

Archers out dps Mages in the long run. Remember that ^^ never hate an archer when you gonna be needing them next time your party. Don't just look at things in the short terms peeps! Stop archer hate!

Archers are PvE aces. But they do tend to fall behind in PvP situations.

Honestly I used to think Archers sucked and I liked them the least, until I made my Koiichi out of boredom and figured Archers are the best/fun class in my opinion.

i too think archers are useful

pros:
-they solo very well
-can plvl easy lol
-thier DoT always does constant damage reguardless of def, so u pwn helga and stuff lol
-they are useful in higher scale pvp, like wars cuz they can DoT alot of ppl

cons:
-in partys w/ other archers is fail compared to multiple mages
-in 1v1 pvp they are not very good

builds and skill empowerment mean everything

looking for speed, use a bow
looking for power and crit, use a crossbow

oh I definately agree!!! Archers have low attack (because of fighter and cleric def...) and low M.def I know fighters have worse mdef...but I still feel like I die faster then a fighter (hence the fighters uber hp)

we have no skills (yet) that stop the opponent from attacking us, fighters, clerics and mages get all that at very low lvls...and once we do get it...the only thing it stops is people from running at us....in which case clerics can still mega heal, fighters can throw their sword once :/ and mages can still cap us.

we have very low def too...and speaking of which ALL THE TIME in my server people make fun of my def....HELLO....IM AN ARCHER >,> with low attack and low defence the only thing we have left is dex and not many archers have that great of dex....and with every fighter or mage with

....with 3x dex on their armor....how can things get worse? Not only that fighters attack mega fast because none of their skills have cast time...
