Hi! Got a question on Licenses.
I've noticed that I can sometimes complete the advancement on some weapon/license combinations, then at other times, upon leveling, the advancement process totally stops.
Is this in direct relation to my character's current combat level, along with the type of monster involved?
Example: I've been trying to complete a Kebing License on my lvl20 (Cleric) Hammer. But, upon reaching a combat level of 26, my (Kebing) kills stopped registering onto this weapon. It's presently at 87% on Eliminator, with Damage stuck on 25%. (However, Baby Bat and Gold Slimes continue to advance.)
If my level, along with the level of the monster involved, stops advancement for me, will it continue for someone who buys this weapon and is a slightly lower level? Meaning, if a lower level Cleric buys this weapon and fights Kebings, will he/she be then able to complete the license on this weapon? Or, is this a bug that needs to be reported?
Thanks for any insight.
Happy Fiesta-ing!

If the monsters name appears grey, you can no longer complete the license. Certain licenses can also reach a higher level, such as lower level monsters like ratmen I think stop at about 25% damage, but a fire vivi can go up to about 50%.(Not completely sure on the exact percentages, but you get my point)
----and yes, if you sell it to a lower leveled cleric, they can complete the license.

Thanks for your response.
Yes, I am quite aware that other licenses go up to higher levels, as I've completed a Tomb Fox license on my Fighter that has the title of Slayer, with 50% Damage. It also adds an additional 2% critical. I had been in the process of completing the Earth Spider license, (on the same weapon) when Bijou was released. That has now been put on the backburner somewhere. Don't know if I'll ever get back to it.
Wanted to see if the additional completed licenses on a higher weapon/monster combination would add additional Crits to it.
Thanks again for your response.

Well, here's my thoughts (as if they matter :D):
1) Low-level licenses can go as high as 35%, or the "~Dominator" Title. I know this because I have a level 15 Sword with 35% for Ratmen, Boar, and Mara Pirates. It's my special sword!
1b) No, you don't gain any critical bonuses at the "~Dominator" level.
2) I achieved my 35% for Mara Pirates by giving a "quest" to a level 15 warrior I found. She obtained 300c and an Elrue from me as the quest reward. So yes, you can give your weapon to a lower-level player to increase the percentage if you are no longer able to do it yourself.
3) I would assume that the critical bonuses would stack, but it probably is worth the amount of monsters you have to kill to get to 50%. I haven't gotten to licenses that go over 35% yet, so I really don't know.

Okay, to revive this thread... I am now lvl 28, in Bijou, and have incomplete Kebing and BabyBat licenses on my weapon. However, I have just completed the Gold Slime license on this same weapon, (Destroyer; Damage 40%), and along with this completion comes a +1% Critical bonus.
I know that Kebing stopped advancing once I reached level 26. So to complete it, you must be lvl 25 or lower.
I don't recall fighting any Baby Bats between 26 and 28, (due to quests), so I don't know what level Baby Bats license advancement stopped at... but it's between there somewhere.

Okay guys, tricky question here so be prepared.
For Kebing, the kills stop registering after lvl 26, I know that much. But, do the bonuses also nullify for you once you reach lvl 26?

Once bonuses are registered on your weapon, it will always be there.
My original question was that, since I can no longer complete the Kebing license, can I transfer this weapon to another, lower-leveled Cleric, and have that person then continue to train up the license and eventually complete it? And, the answer according to others here is, Yes, a weapon with an incomplete licenses can be transfered to another player, who can then continue where you left off to complete that license, as long as they are within the parameters of the combat level/license combination.
Make sense? Or did I just ramble on a bit too far?

I will explain how a lic works. Once a monster turns grey you can't complete the lic on the mob anymore. As you advance through the game it make take as many as 6-7 kills on a mob for it to gain even 1% on the lic for example the orc lic. Also if your in a party you need to get the last hit in on the mob for it to count for the your lic, so being in the party might actually be slower if you want to lvl up your lic.
The lic lvl up goes as follow
Start at extra damage 15% --> 20% ---> 25% --> 30% ---> 35% ---> 40%
At 40% you gain an extra +1% crit to your weapon
40% ---> 50 % ---> 60 %---> 70% ---> 80%
For those willing to grind at certain mobs for a long period of time, you can get up to 5% extra crit on your weapon. An +5% crit is most you can get from an lic, also don't think that u can max out 3 lic and get an extra 15% crit on your weapon because it doesn't stack, well i never meant anyone in the game with 3 or 2 max lics on there weapon so I wouldn't know.
