Can't Attack

I am wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows of a way to solve it. When I try to hover my mouse over an enemy it automatically moves away, thus I can never actually click on it to attack it. It is only with enemies that this occurs, NPC's and items and all that I can select, but not enemies. Does anyone know what the problemis or how to solve it?
