Worst Patch Ever

Most of the clerics who have been in a party, especially in a kq, know that there is a new patch (or glitch) that doesn't allow them to click the party icon of the person recieving heals. This is really inconvienient. For example, I was just in a Millenium Robo kq, and everyone who's seen it knows how hectic it is. Someone needed a heal, but when I tried to click their icon, I couldn't lock onto them, hence no heal, and when they didn't get a heal, they died. My whole party was angry at me for not healing them in time. The kq failed because the clerics couldn't heal, and my reputation was spoiled. Please, OutSpark, if this is a glitch, fix it, and if it's a patch, delete it!

I hate it too, it seems like I have to learn how to be a cleric all over again, lol. For now, use the F1 through F5 buttons on your keyboard to alternate between the people in your party and yourself when healing and/or buffing.

I hope they fix this quickly. Happened to me in spider kq. I don't want to get a reputation as a crappy healer. :(

I've been playing a certain way for about 8 months now. My heals are the number keys above the letters. I put them on the numeric keypad, so I could use the F keys, but I'm alot slower now. I can only do parties of 2 (maybe 3) until this is fixed. :mad:

it's already been addressed, you'll just have to wait for the fix - silky was on the job 12 minutes after the patch was installed

Looks like I won't be playing my cleric that much until it is fixed. :( Perhaps this glitch is connected with why people can't log in now, which could mean that it's getting fixed. Yay :D

Ok, so I get it that there's a lot of patches that makes things very inconvinient. But really, a lot of the things that people complain about being a "bad decision" of the GMs, is usually a side effect of something else that they did during the patch.

It really gets to me when people just say "They are ruining the game" and such because it's not like they planned it all the time. sometimes they are just glitches that happen.

EDIT: It is very very hard to keep a party alive now especially when they are surrounded by mobs or the monster is on top of them on your screen.

Notice something. You CANT click PT icons members IF their name is too long aka "..." dots. x_x i hate this. and F1~F5 is so worst X_X

There's also a stylistic change with this patch concerning the exp tally in our character stats. It's really annoying to know that I have 12.1M/19M. I like to see my exp go up with every monster I kill no matter how little. If I wanted an estimate I'd look at the yellow circle around my head and the 9 balls. Also, it's glitched. 12.1M actually means 12.01 sometimes. It's very confusing. I'll watch my exp go from 12.1M to 12.2M to 12.3M just to see it go to 12.11M. It's very disheartening. I like it the old way. But some may disagree with me on that choice.

hmm, good thing I did exp stats before this patch..

this patch makes it impossible to get accurate figures of exp per minute for different types of mobs.

Anyway, yeah, Silky said they will try to have this fixed on the next patch, so fingers crossed!

My healing speed has also decreased by quite a bit with this bug, since I have never used the f-keys before. I noticed that my party mates are using more pots/stones because I keep healing the wrong person and I feel so bad. Sigh.

I am not sure if these have been brought up in other threads, but it seems a few party functions have also been 'deactivated' on top of this healing bug.

1. Party leader cannot ban members with long names, (i.e names ending with ...) option not available.

2. Someone in bug reporting mentioned that the follow function is also not working.

Yes yes! I have to remind myself so hard that F1 is me. I will be like okay, I gotta heal this first partymate, so first is... F1. ZOMG NOOO! I healed myself when I have a full bar with my highest tier heal. =__=

I have this problem as well i was in 50 abyss earlier with two friends trying to help me level. one of them pulled in a large mob of karasian sodiers i couldn't eal the other because of this patch. my recommendation is to stay close to the person you can't heal so you can click on him/her and it will work.

yeah this patch is annoying for clerics
suggestions for now ; is just to press F2 for second person in party F3 for third person and so on F1 is yourself. just something you can do until the patch is fixed >.<

From the looks of the massive number of threads that have been spawned over this issue, it seems that I was the only cleric to ever already use the F keys.

Nevermind that they're faster than clicking, and easy to get used to.

This is a shame. This game is getting increasingly difficult to play, considering the way you play today may not the way you are able to play tomorrow. Purples haven't worked in 3 weeks, now Clerics can't heal like they want to. I am glad that some people are ok with using the F keys, however my style of play does not use them. Apparently lots of others as well.


I was hoping for a fix last night. Instead we get a Remi's refresh. I still have not seen any answer or acknowledgment of the problem with Purple sets.

Omg serious. I have a 86 cleric and i know how to play. people with me never died when i could click on their faces at party. Now i need to use F1~F5 and can't handle a full party. Serious , idc if ppl call me fail, i bet them to make a cleric and try to heal a full party with long names. We will see who's the failure >.<
This patch /glitch is so annoying. Makes me stress all over the way. I try to be the fast as i can but still, F1~F5 keys is worse than ever. That's a torture for all clerics. Please , and i said PLEASE , fix this NOW!

Try reverse your hot keys. I use mouse so all my heal is at left hand but I do have quicken and rejunvine on the right hand side double hot keyed. I find out when I use F2 to F4 on the left, I use the right side heal more because now I use 2 hands.

I just noticed in my last party, i tried healing using f2-f5, and it was slow and hard to get used to. I have large hands, much to my embarrassment, so i kept hitting the wrong key and healing the wrong person. Blech.

I so agree. What's even more annoying is that I'm used to using "2" as my heal. As a cleric, I spend my time watching health go up and down. I don't have time to look at my hands. So when I think my fingers are on the f1~f3 keys, they're really on 1,2,3 or sometimes the other way around. I switched my heals to the right hand so I can use left hand just for clicking party members, but it's still hard to get used to. It's also annoying when some characters I can click on, and some I can't.

More annoying, the f5 key is SOOOO far away from the rest of my fingers. I have small fingers.

Ok, I skimed through the forum I have a cleric main. All I have to say is that it is bearable, but only just. If it weren't for the F1-F5 keys there wouldn't be a single cleric playing. Aren't there a few quick practical test done on the patch before making it available for new players, so that if there is a bug the server can revert to a working patch? I thought that was what they were doing! :mad: Does it really take 3 hours just to implement a new patch on the server?
