DEX Fighter...?

Has anyone made one or even played with the idea?

Should I waste some more of my time to experiment with it? :confused:

Yes there has been people that has tried it however I don't know how good it is.
I think that I might try something related to dex though...

yea im curious about a dex fighter to like a 1:1 end:dex build or something along those lines

a dex fighter would suck and would not be able to keep up with the great def of a tank or the great str of a full str.if you have to do half and half i would pick

1:str 1:End or 1:Spr 1:End

im a 1:Str 1:end fighter myself and so far ive had no problems with def being too low or not being able to do enough damage,

lol yup Yings Right... I mean cmon people be senseable Dex in any rpg mmo well any game back from PnP to now has Dex EVER been a fighter stat? hmm? Stats for certain classes take some common sense or you'll end up like ms belmont getting smacked around and beat senseless by people who have far better build ups ^^

Even with my archer i hardly ever dodge and i have passive skills helping me out on that. For fighters i'd say dex is 99% useless.

I just wasn't sure if the dodging ability of the dex would be worth it for a fighter...but looking into it further it seems that in the higher levels dodging doesn't really happen too often.

I already have a 1:2 str:end fighter and just wanted to know if it would be something to experiment with or not...and I think I'll save my time for some other experiment instead :P

A full DEX fighter doesn't work. Period.
Why? Let me point out the reasons.
One, fighters are not built to dodge hits. They're built to take them. Also, the default dodge of the fighter is very low. The percentage added from DEX is insignificant. Why do I say that? Well, lets compare a fighter to an archer. Lets say fighter has 100 base dodge, and +10% from dex. This fighter will get +10 dodge. Now, lets compare this to an archer who has 200 base dodge, with +10% from dex. This archer will get +20 dodge. Now, I hear people saying that this 20-10=10 dodge is nothing. Well then, seeing as archer is created for dodging, and is not dodging enough, what can you say about this DEX fighter then? Asking a fighter to dodge attacks is like asking an elephant to dodge an arrow from 10 feet.
Two, what does DEX adds besides dodge? It adds aim. Now, why would you want your fighter to have more aim? A fighter can get in 99% of the hits he gives out to a monster at his level, and probably 90% of the hits to a dodge-based monster. If you want to hit higher level monsters, you can easily use a power scroll. A power scroll, if you haven't found out, does not add attack, instead adds aim. A T1 power scroll adds 90 aim. That is already more than enough to hit enemies of higher level. "So, what if power scroll doesn't work" you ask. Thats what T2 scrolls are for, although, I can assure you that T1 power scrolls always works. You may just miss only around 20% of the hits on very high level monsters. Plus, fighters have a particular skill that can decrease an enemy's DEX by a good deal. Which means that the monster's dodge rate will decrease, giving you more breathing space as far as hitting is concerned.
Third, pure DEX fighters will always lose out to pure END or STR fighters alike. Why? Because first, you do not have the extra defence or hp. Second, you do not have the attack power. You only have insignifcant dodge rate and useless aim.

And that concludes my opinion on DEX fighters. Feel free to critise any points you see here.
