Server and Transferring Characters.

Hey guys/girls. I have a friend who created his character on the server ,Bijou, and I created my character on Apoline. I really want to play with my best friend. So yeah I tried joining his world, but my characters aren't there! I thought my characters were erased until I went to my original server *phew*. Then I got my friend and he tested this by joining his original server (that I attempted to join) and his characters were there. Finally, he joined my server (the one I created my character on) and his characters weren't there! I really don't desire to create another character since I worked so hard on it. Can someone answer some questions for me?

1. Is this original or this is true for all accounts?
2. If true, why did Outspark do this?
3. Is there a good reason why not to allow account owners to transfer characters server to server?

I am so urgent to await an answer. I understand that this game is free to everyone, no fees, simple registration, many more. Other games have been around for years, though this game has been around for a short time and many people migrated to this game. PLEASE RESPOND! Thank you/ you all! The apoline characters are stored on a different hard drive than the bijou characters. Your characters are limited to the server they started on in every MMORPG. There are a few games that allow transfers, but that's usually either a paid service or a one time thing to alleviate overpopulation. It's perfectly normal. One of you will just have to start over.

Yes. No accounts can transfer characters from Server A to Server B. Like mentioned before, other games do allow it only to even out the population or as a paid service.

2. If true, why did Outspark do this?
Probably because they don't have the resources or see the need to allow transfers during a beta part of the game.

3. Is there a good reason why not to allow account owners to transfer characters server to server?
Transferring between servers opens a whole new can of worms, like bringing 'cheap' items from Bijou (since it's a new server) to an older one and selling them for at least double the price, and vice versa. It can ruin economies and that's why it's usually a paid-for service. Plus, it's an easier way for scam artists / jerks to hop from server to server.

My only rant about this is they couldve done it in Open Beta just have the Main Database run off the Authentication Server which would mean you can use your characters on any server without having to restart. Most RPG games do it now it keeps the servers at an even population and it wont leave any server completely dead

Oh really? While I was typing my previous post, I thought Fiesta did not have enough money to afford enough space for a big drive to store all the information. As Game_Hermit said. "The apoline characters are stored on a different hard drive than the bijou characters." So yeah it would be pretty expensive. Plus of all the hard work. With all the reasons you all gave me, I guess I will minus well create another character :(. Thank you all.

Heck no its expensive but not that expensive there is a guy running a private PSOBB server and he is paying for the lot getting a hard drive that big wouldnt be a problem heck I could probably buy one after about 6 months of saving up. I dont get paid much but I hardly spend my money anyway so ive got a decent amount in my bank. Money isnt the problem at all I know this from experience :p
