Hello SoS!

Hey fellas! I just signed up for OutSpark and I'm downloading the Secret of the Solstice now!

I'm a little bummed to hear that the CBT already started for this game. I saw an advert for this and checked out the site, it looks like it's gonna be a really cool game once it's released.

So far (from what little I've seen) this community looks to be really active and friendly. I read a few things about the GM's being active, and let me tell you, that is a HUGE relief for me to hear. I recently quit the MMORPG MapleStory after dumping a crapload of time and money into it. Their customer and player support was horrible and in the entire two years I was there I only saw ONE GM, ONE time.

Anyway this intro kinda turned into a rant, so here's a few things about me - I'm a 21 year old college student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I play brass and percussion instruments and I perform as an enlisted musician in the local Army Band. It's been somewhat of a dream of mine to become a professional game tester, so I am hoping to get as much experience with as many different games as possible. I am (obviously) an avid gamer and started playing when the NES game. I was five at the time...I'm not technically first-gen but I'm damn close ;). I have a beautiful girlfriend and we are celebrating our two-month anniversary this weekend (not that impressive I know, but still an accomplishment for a band/videogame geek).

So, if you are still reading this long as hell post, thanks for taking the time and I can't wait for the open beta so I can check this game out!

Wait...I thought I wouldn't be able to play because the Closed Beta started? It was my understanding that I would need to wait until the Open Beta is released, lol.

Well, if I can indeed login, then I will be sure to look around for you ;) If not, then I don't mind waiting for a bit :D

To tell you the truth, I'm very confused about the whole invite thing. Because me and my friends just downloaded the game.. signed up.. and logged in ._. ; (all in an hour or two) and yet I hear a lot of people looking for invites.

Haha oh well, I'm just glad to see a more close-knit, friendly community. MapleStory really wears you down, especially now that it is so Cash-Shop oriented. The ONLY way to have fun training is to buy 2x EXP cards, it's ridiculous!

That reminds me, the japanese version of SoS had cash shops that let you buy those outfits you get in lucky balls, nice buffs for a period of time, etc. I'm guessing this one will be somewhat similar to it.

I don't see anything wrong with selling buffs to players that are willing to pay. This keeps the game free for everyone, and that's what it should be about in my opinion.

What MapleStory has done is take the game and completely orient it toward people that can afford the EXP and DROP boosting cards. They even have better training areas for people that buy certain cash items.

It IS important to give players an incentive to buy stuff, but the ENTIRE GAME should not revolve around it. I hope this game doesn't turn out like MS did.

Anyway this is a nice little conversation we've had, huh? Lol maybe we should take it to PM's I don't wanna get a spamming warning or anything ;)

Congratulations on receiving an Invite :D, I'm stil waiting for mine patiently (2 Weeks) . but yeah, It's really sad when companies ruin the games by encouraging people to pay money just to receive super elite items. totally ruins the balance of the game. It's not so bad if you are only able to donate for outfits that have no effect on the game, but appearance. anyway enough ranting. If i receive an invite soon maybe we could party together. I want to be a Tank(Fighter) I have mixed thoughts on a name yet, so i wil keep you updated on that, if you are interested. peace ^_^

yea ok shut your mouth i played the japanese sos for over a year and i have a felon lvl 81 if it didint get deleted and my felon moves faster then any archer he can dodge more then an archer and why would i need more the 75 pots if my guy only gets hit 1 outta 10 times yea your real smart tell me i dont know what im talking about why dont you learn what your talking about before you post friggin dumb *** and felons skills dont have a cooldown except for a couple and every class has skills that have a cool down have you ever seen a felon yet i dont think you have a archer is faste rthen a rouge but not faster then a felon expecially when he uses level 3 rapid run no self respecting archer would let you go invisible its not his choise or not if i go invisible if he dosent see me and i go invisible face it hes screwed as soon as i get right in front of him beacuse i attack alot fast at lvl 81 my felon has 0.3 aspd what does an archer have 1.0 yea archer is really faster then me and i know sleep breaks on damage but as soon as you get attack you have a hard time cliking on me and if you do any damage to me at all i can just put you to sleep heal myself blind sight you and spam my skills this isnt ragnarok buddy archers arent overpowerd idiots like they are in ragnarok cuse every class is even its how you use your skills witch determines the victory
