A Question to GM..

am i correct if i say ... we can create forum event or in-game event n gift the winner the sc items ( as long as it is pure gift n dont trade with any other in-game items).....arent i:confused::confused:

suppose there is player/s or guild/s who wanna create a massive in-game event with prizes over 100k...can OS help them in their event so it goes smoothly n will be success..when i mean help its like providing place to organize events n other stuffs like we players cant do ....????

has this ever be done before ????

well suppose i have an idea abt event n i wanna sponsor it but dont wanna post it in forum first...cauz i dont wanna be the subject of laugh for nth n gets hundreds of comments, which usually happens here...is there any way to discuss it with GMs first n if its approved then post in forum???...for this how to contact u n what do i need before contacting u (like a long written proposal or just tell u in chat..or ?????:confused::confused:)

and my last question....well i'll be free by the end of this month... so suppose if u say the OS will help me(just my guess though :p, need for my last question so) to organize the in-game event...i m willingly ready to spend 100k...while playing n reading in forums in last months i found many players who wanna gift their sc in an event willingly.....when every thing is ready abt event n is notified to player by posting thread...can i ask to others players through forum to help who are willingly ready to sponsers this event by gifting?...more prizes=more players to participate= more chance of success of event...it this against rule ???

If you are willing to sponsor your own prizes, why not go ahead and create a contest that interests you the most?

You may ask the GMs for assistance on running your events, they may or may not agree to help. If there is no response then from any GM, then probably they do not have the spare time to help out because they are preoccupied with running their own events on forums and in game.

From my previous experience with Outspark, they do appreciate well thought our player sponsored events but Outspark do not officially endorse or support any event outside their own unless you wish to request Outspark to sponsor a real life charitable organization. For example on April 2008, Outspark did an earth day pack promotion and send part of its proceeds to saving the rain forest.

I have run some forum and in game events which turned out quite well as long as you are committed, persistent, and disciplined in putting in the time and effort to make it a success.

Basic starting points are:

1. Describe what the contest is basically about.
2. set a start time and a end time for the contest.
3. Write down rules for people to enter the contest.
4. Show examples as guidelines for contestants to emulate.
5. Mention any prizes if applicable.
