Costumization, like JP version or KR version?

I've been browsing through the Korean website for this game and looked through the screenshots, and from what I can see there is they got exacly the same customization as us, blue or different shades of blue, only a few hairstyles and one standard face for each class. And the mages doesn't have blue skins either, look just as ours.


Then when you look at Bright Kingdom, the japanese version of this game, they have many more hairstyles, more faces. And the mages have blue skins aswell.


So this makes me wonder if our version only will allow the little and limited customization I see on the screenshots on the korean site.

The reason for this thread? I'm worried we will get the limitied customization I see in the korean screenshots and would like some information regarding this. I'd love all the different hair styles and colors you can see in the Bright Kingdom version.


I would love to be corrected and wrong about this. I guess time will tell but I'm interested to know now.

Actually I saw those screenshots, and those make me confused, because its a different interface, one which I think is old.


I think they used it back when they called it Shineonline. But it wouldn't be logical to remove the customization, so I'm rather confused about it.

I think they kept this out of CB on purpose, and more will be seen in OB. I hope they have an RGB slider to customize hair\eye color

I hope you guys are right, that we get it in OB.


But judging from the trailer on the front page they have different hairstyles and colors, so if thats the intention of the final game, then I'm glad.


As it stands now, everyone running around with blue hair or different shades of it, it looks rather dull. Hopefully we can customize different face too.

*the gm team here at outspark chenged the game, its got the same qualities of the other games but slightly different details


for example in the asian games the mages hav purple skin, but in this game everybody is white

the purple skin mage is on the old fiesta online aka shine online.. if u see the fiesta online korean the mage is the same as us...

Looking through a lot of screenshots on the korean site and it seems it's all 3 blue hair styles and locked faces per class.


And I doubt ours will be any different from that.


I would like an official word on this, what happend with all the customization seen in Shine Online? And whats up with the trailer on the front page showing all this costumization yet it seems we won't get it?


I'm going to be very dissapointed if all I see is blue hair and no face options in Open Beta.

Well you guys should really calm down about it. The game is just coming out, noone cares what you get to make your guy look like when you only get a few weeks to play it before its deleted for the OB. We're just trying to test and find bugs, and see if the gameplay is cool or not. I personally would be fine walking around with a jet black icon with no features at all if it means I get to see how the gameplay is lol.

ryoketsu, I'm not concerned if we don't have it in CB, it's if we get it in OB or not that I'm concerned of.


If you took the time to actually go through what's said in the thread you might realize we may actually get no more customization. Perhaps you don't care about that aspect of the game, but many do.

i used to play the korean version not so long ago and there were many costumization so i dont know..

Don't you notice something in those screens? The interface is different, I belive those screens is from when the game was called Shine Online. Check all the other screens in their screenshot gallery, in pretty much all screens they have blue hair and the standard faces we have.

did you watch the intro movie on the korean page ? so far i see players with green,brown,blue,grey,purple hair and as for the faces we can't really see them because the video is too small. i say lets just wait and see, but that would be dumb if they removed most of the costumization in their recent client build don't you think?

As far as what's in it, all I see is same hair styles we have, blue and purple. As for faces, they are also the same ones we got, one face per class. However I do see 2 scenes with someone with green hair, but don't know where that comes from, the rest is blue. Also mages in that movie look exacly like ours, look at 00:25 into the movie, it's a mage, but it doesn't have purple skin.


Like I said, I would love to be wrong about this and have hope we are getting good customization, but everything is leaning towards we will be stucked with what we have now.


And yes you are right, it's dumb to remove customization from one client build to another, but it looks exacly like that's what they have done.

I am *really* big on customization...CB doesn't matter but yea, OB....I really really really hope we get more! I would be a huge downfall for the game if there wasn't imo.

aside from just simple things like skin color... even the quests are different... for instance i know ppl who actually read the quests notice that one of the 1st quests asks you to kill "5 speedy slimes" yet when you look at your quest list it doesn't ask you to kill them at all... also in the korean version there are 2 beginner's quests.. 1 with the elementalist helper or w/e her name is and 1 with item merch pey... they completely removed the quest with item merch pey... they completely removed the stylist that stands next to item merchant pey (which is where you can change hairstyles/faces) also they removed or "haven't implemented" the "Free Battle" area which is next to the guild guy in roumen, and is also in elderine and uruga.... there are a lot of things that outspark has removed from the korean version which this game is modeled after... but there's no word on if they will appear in the final release or not... who knows.... i sure hope so... the most recent update on the korean servers is that there are hats that the players can wear that you can get from an event quest... so there's a lot of things i'm hoping outspark implements in the final release but don't expect them anytime soon... they are mainly working on all the bugs that we have reported and the bot issue...

Honestly I'm glad they're worried first about bugs in the game and illegal gold sellers. I mean I honestly hope that one day this games as customizeable as ragnarok (I've never seen a mmorpg more customizeable then RO) but honestly, lets fix the gameplay issus first and then go for the fun silly things. And why would you try to push it out for OB? I wouldnt expect things untill MAYBE the END of OB so its kinda the last thing to get teh bugs out of because its like the least important thing.

the only reason I noticed it was because I was looking for screenshots and the one I found lead me here. if its old they should lock it.

2) We simply cant lock every thread. Try making a list of every thread that's older than 2 weeks. It takes about the same amount of time to close them, as making a list (and yes, copy/paste the links of the threads into a Word document)
