Threads kinda old, but if we can be civil there is great potential for conversation here. So im gonna trow my two cents in.

Ive been an archer my entire fiesta life, about a year and a half. I have seen good archers and I have seen bad archers. Honestly, what makes a good archer is not his gear or his sc pots. Its the ability to adapt to any situation and make the best of it. I only make recommendations about players who I learned a great deal from, and was able to apply their way of doing things to better my own. This is not prioritized, so first nom isnt the best necessarily.

KikuchiKiri (spelling) - Partied with kiku in my werebear days. Awesome skill useage and multishot timing.

Dragunov - The whole reason I made an archer to begin with.

Digital_Archer - aside from being a pvp phenom, DA taught me alot about the importance of gear stats complementing build stats and answered an endless slew of annoying questions about the game and life issues.

stirfriedrice - The legendary cp1 kiter. Taught me how to kite using mist. How to handle large mobs while kiting and how to spot the best run routes.

Raining_Steel (spelling) - got ks'd once by him/her and decided to follow them and watch their kiting method. Was truely epic.

I honestly dont believe being the best archer has anything to do with the strength you emmit from yourself, but the strength you give others by empowering them and teaching them to become better archers.

You guys have the type of mindset that makes parents hate their kids because they are never good enough. Maybe if alot of the higher leveled players spent less time bickering amongst themselves and more time encouraging the next generation, you might have good players still.

Made the following changes:

*Changed levels for some, added levels for a few. If I dont know the nominee's level but ive seen them in game I will give them the appropriate "x" level (7x, 8x) untill I can confirm their level.

*Added the following nominees: ReMatch, Grand_Dragon

I really dont want to break this into brackets without having level information but it looks like im gonna have to.

Im gonna divide players and assign brackets for voting today. To be as fair as possible, im gonna try to break up the players in the same guilds to avoid a guild dominated voting debauchle. I really feel that the lowest level archer with skill should have the same chance as the highest level archer with the same level of skill. I would break it into level brackets but....too many 8x players for that to be fair. Like I said I really wanted level info but w/e.

As it stands this is the final list. No more applicants will be added. Ill post the thread for the brackets. Further rules will be elaborated on in there.

Alrighty lol fun stuff. First off one never votes for themselves so i'm mia on my personal list :P.

I've built my reputation on being a SOLOER. I very rarely partied until i joined rye... they are warming up my frozen heart <3. But I feel confidant enough to critic the kiting style in terms of success.

I'll do this in no particular order:

AstrophenVeloce: Astro and I did a ton of kkp's together back in the day. Now kq's don't really say anything about skill as a archer since most of it is standing aoe's with tanks... haha. But we did a few parties outside of kq and I found a kindred spirit so to say that could keep up with me and even be a big help. So here's a nomination to Astro.

EvilStar: EvilStar... is without a doubt the ORIGINAL archer legend. Whether or not he would stand above or on par with todays archers is unknown but back in the old days when I was but a shadow he was indeed all that an archer aspired to be.

Bulto: (sorry dunno the spelling for the full name bulto :() Bulto and I have partied quite a bit while I was leveling my alts. He's now higher level then my main since i've been inactive for awhile, but he's always been a skilled player. One mark of a good archer is when you don't mind putting them in your party in place of a mage. Bulto has that mark :).

_Discos_: haha I haven't forgotten doing kidmon and later jt's with you ^^. It was almost a competition, we just needed someone to announce it lol. There aren't very many archers i've partied with through the days that I considered at or above my own level... but then there aren't many of us older archers who actually remember the old days either. Very few of the new generation rise up to fill the gaps in our minority class. Discos was indeed someone I thought could give me a run for my money.

Dragonuv: Never partied with him, just pvp. He was very dominating for an archer and I had alot of trouble with him. XD. Enough to the point that Even cookied it took a little help to tackle him. Course I didn't go down so easilly either, but archers that make you work like that are few and far between.

Raining_Steel: I consider Raining my superior. She's definately on the shelf above me from just the few stints I had in party with her since joining rye. When the cap was 89 I could almost call her the servers best. Course I actually couldn't because I've never really seen everyone in action.

Now that concludes my nominations, but I will say beforehand that there are others. I just haven't seen them personally. Which is why we nominate ^^. Because no one in any class can point and say "this guy is the best". It's all opinionated.

Her name is GreenBean lvl 105, Shes the nices person you will ever meet, she has never pvped in her life as playing fiesta, as i recall. she has a great personality shes strong, brave and would go up against any monster.

So i would say GreenBean would be the best Archer on Bijou server xD

EvilStar capped at level 79 and quit sometime later, well before the 8x cap raise. He was one of the first to cap at 79.

He's also the first person to solo kkp kq. Of the 5 that have succeeded in the history of fiesta he was the only one that did so without any +9's that I know of and he definately used no spark cash. Which is an incredible feat. My own solo of kkp required full +9's and I came close to the timer so I had to use an offense charm on kkp himself rofl... which I don't think changed much. So EvilStar accomplished something the rest of us could only dream of.

That's everything I know about him. There are plenty of other older generation players who were alot more social then I was back then. They'd know more about him then I would. And yes if you looked at my join date, that applies only to the name I use over forums. My original account was hacked and various things were done long ago.

First to solo KKP=correct
No SC=wrong, he was heavy SC user
No +9=wrong, he had the best archer gears that time and was using 2 +9 sets, END-SPR +9 for PVP and END-DEX +9 set for PVE

The reason lots of people consider the best archer, because he was one of the best archers to solo all bosses in game, 2nd archer in legend of Isya contest, having the best gears that time and knew this class the best: skill cancel, attack cancel etc :)
