Seems OS will not do anything to scammer in this point. Shall we have some kind of list for those scammers here, with some hard evident for sure.
I know there are some kinds of rule about blacklisting but we should do something against those bad @ss.

We can't put "scammer" names on forums. It's against ToS. Go read it some time. Unless, y'know, you want to get banned.

Just let it be. Don't give people your stuff. Don't trust everyone > >
It's the damn internet if you haven't realised that. The worst that can happen here is getting banned. OS doesn't IP ban people so you could always make another account.

That's a funny rule though even you have all the evidence and scammer still can get away from it.
If ppl in real life get jailed for doing that, then they should be banned in game for doing the same thing.
Just some idea, feel awful for that kind of ToS.

Scammer FTW ewwwwwww

There are people that will make mistakes or misjudge something, which will cause someone innocent to be wrongly blacklisted.

There are also people who will create or modify screenshots to make someone look guilty. Again, in such an instance, an innocent person would be wrongly blacklisted.

The rule is there for the sake of innocent people; not for the convenience of the scammers. Like kimi said, don't trust everyone and just be very cautious in what you do.

That's the reason I put condition on my first post. Evidence!!!!
People can defence themself...
Someone can modify the scammers list to make sure only confirmed scammers be listed there.

BTW, I don't think anyone will get jail now. That's in the 'smart' ToS. You on your own:)

I used to play game and try to have new friends and have fun. Now everyone just tell me 'Do NOT trust anyone.'. Sign....

There's still two problems with that.

The first is that not everyone comes to the forums. So somebody can be accused of blacklisting here, their reputation can get soiled and they won't be able to defend themself or make a counter argument until its too late.

The second is that evidence won't always be around to help. If someone produces evidence, whether its real or forged, the person being accused of scamming might not have a witness or a screenshot to defend themself. Then it becomes a question of "Who do we believe?"

This is just my opinion (and a number of others), but there would be too many ways to exploit a community-managed blacklist of scammers.

Also..

We're not saying "Everyone's an enemy." But we're saying, don't do short-sighted things like handing your godly weapon over to a person who you met 15 minutes ago. And your reason for handing your wep over is b/c your invo is full and you need to NPC some useless mats. There are plenty of people in the game who can be trusted, but you want to build some real trust between you and them before you make yourself susceptible to being scammed.

For example, I can trust kimi with holding some gear or mats for me. But I've known her for months, so it's not as if I can suspect her of taking my stuff in any way.

Scamming/hacking is not taken lightly by Outspark. The reports you send in are read, reviewed and action is taken on the account as they deem appropriate. They are not required to tell you what punishments these people receive. As such, you may feel nothing was done when in reality it was.

As for creating a list to report scammers/hackers on your own, thats just as much a violation of the ToS as scamming/hacking is. The rule is put in place, like someone else mentioned before, to protect the innocent. There are a number of people who would take advantage of an open thread and attempt to slander someone who, in reality, is innocent.

Imagine how damaging it would be if someone came on here and accused you of doing something you did not do. Instead of sending it to the appropriate authorities to have them review the case, you face 'vigilante' action from players in game. You cannot find a party, you get PK'd constantly, your guild kicks you because they're tired of being warred...Outspark can assess the situation and deal with the player without this having to occur.

Personally, I would not suggest creating such a thread.
