Basically, i am a monk. I also have a trapper to play with but i quit the trapper. I am tired of trappers/assassins who think, that in 1 v 1, they are pro's because they can beat you. I can honestly say that in 1 v 1, it is very hard for my trapper to loose against a monk. In my opinion, trappers have it easy. So do assassins. Specially when put against a monk. Yes we do dmg but, it is not all about the damage. Monks have to work twice if not even three times as hard to deal damage to a player that knows what hes doing. In conclusion, if your a good trapper, no monk can ever beat you because, all you need is two clean stuns to continue your combo so that you can kill someone. Not to mention your bombing the place too. Monks do not suck but, don't think your a pro because your trapper can win against one.

This is fact. Monks have to work harder than trappers and assassins to actually kill them. You cannot say a monk is noob because you can take more than half of his health in 1 hit(followed by unstoppable combos) which monks i'm afraid do not have it that easy as to have their opponent stunned there.

That is why i tell them, do you have a warrior or a monk? Bring them. Most of the time they loose with their other classes and state they don't play with them much. i repeat, in my opinion, rogues and it's branches, are the easiest class to play although not to level.

this is not true. I have seen monks when they get this ine sjill and it freezes you and you cant move and they kick the **** out if yiu so dont wine that monks have it hard...

Your talking about spamable punches from shaolin? I'm a counter. I don't have anything like that...Monks either...
Also, if your talking about cartilage smash, i don't have that skill yet but, this skill cannot be done after a grab i believe. So is hard to land. My friend tried to do it after he grabbed me but failed. So yes, i can whine that trappers can do more than 400 damage in one combo. What? stun hit bomb hit puppet stun hit bomb poison and im almost dying. That's a bunch of BS.

Honestly,iThink Trapper are easier because they have Hide — That there is a HUGE Advantage overall.
As for Monk..Uhh,iDon'tKnow much 'bout them.

Everything has their ups and downs.

@doki. The thing is, we make 1 mistake and the battle is practically over. A rogue makes a mistake and they can still escape. The skills that are built in to the game make it that way. Not to mention counter are more personal skill related rather than NPC skill related.

How can you make a mistake where your person is stunned. Meaning non movable target? Wow man, get yourself a monk and you will see what i mean. W/e i was not trying to argue anyways. In the end, a good rogue wont loose to a monk period. The rogues have much more flexibility in combat. You do not need skill to follow your combo once the person is stunned. If you miss while the person is stunned then..that speaks for itself.

you're practically saying that monks are losers with all these complaints on how they are weak against 1 class and how hard it is to play monk
i have to agree with all the other ppl here coz there are ways to counter combos that are not even being exploited by monks
another fact i want to point out is that it seems you have been beaten fair and square by another rogue or its branches on 1v1 thus you are now complaining how easy it is to play them coz u can't beat them wat a sad way of escaping reality
instead of complaining and reducing yourself to this state y don't you actually practice your pvping skills and finally beat rogue and their branches on 1v1 with your trapper

Ok well, i don't really want to continue this argument. The reason i originally started is because the only class i seem to have a problem with is the rogue class. Either way if your not going to contribute to the thread dark then don't post at all. Insults are just going to make you look like a noob.
I also noticed people who i used to beat and now all of the sudden they are trappers and they can own me. All this led me to believe in the words i have stated.

Rogues should win every game of 1v1, unless you are facing someone who is extremely good and can take a lot of damage (Paladin or Beast Master). So unless you are facing Prolific you should win every game.

Nawww don't say that, cause I have a rogue and I suck @ playing him; most of the times my skills and attacks don't land and I get discovered while hidden a lot, I mean a LOT ;o; xD!

You should probably say the good rogues [by that I mean the ones who can time well, calculate the distance necessary to land an attack nicely or even automatically, etc] are the easiest class to play. :]

I'd say any beastmaster with the protective bear is rly hard to beat unless a rogue or any of its branches could get a good hold of the beastmaster from running and using the skill... paladins not so much

I don't call monks noobs because they die easily i call them noobs because many will sit there jamming their kick button and they will slowly move across to screen until they get close enough to hit you....then i jump behind em, kill em, and then they complain and say that I'M the noob. >.> And yea, trappers are a bit overpowered. You don't need any skill at all to use them. Just walk around planting bombs and you've got it. Denzel is a pretty good trapper though, he pwns without the bombs too. But rogues in general aren't overpowered. They need at least a little skill to use. Some rogues think they are so awesome, but then i whip out my lvl 15 priest and pwn them. Then once again, I get called a noob because they have no skill in using rogues.

Most spam bombs but others use it as a way to escape from combos others use it as a distraction or opportunity to deal massive damage. i don't see anything wrong with that coz mages could easily take out 1/3 of someone's hp why can't rogues do the same ;P.

I've played some "decent" monks and beat them...but then they get all mad at me and leave before I figure out if it's "beginner's luck" or what.

Hum, I take back what i said about rogues being impossible to beat. I would like to mention that what i do believe is that a monk has to try harder to beat a rogue than a rogue to beat a monk. This is taking into consideration they both have the same skills.

Suldo - Great Counter, not as challenging.

It's a matter of getting down and dirty and learning.
Never follow a trapper and they can't bomb you, get good at guarding they can't stun you.

My advice against an assassin?
Be quicker than us.
We assassinate a lot, and those of us that are good can assassinate into our rogue combo,
just practice guarding and moving with us and you'll do just fine.
