try mara pirates. But if it is the one with quest that you should delivr it, tham when you get the quest you should get the item too.

Yeah, you get the quest for it long before you are able to get them, you'll need to buy/trade it from someone higher level.

Sign of Trace drop from the Hobs in Vine Tomb as Kholai stated and also from Prisoners of Collapsed Prison. Basically they are the advanced form of "Vanished Sign" so only drop from advanced humanoids.
