This is a remake of capped users ruining economy. What's your opinion on them?

At times they are, but also without them all of you players wouldn't have your precious shiny's/enhanced gear & weapons.

04-13-2009, 07:59 AM
Yup ;o We wouldn't have our +9's but probabl enhancement wouldn't be as hard since it's obviously become harder ever since gold nines came out >_>

Lawl, i wouldn't really know. I've only raw enhanced T1 items and used 1 stack of eyes once to get Enhancement God with a level 20+8 shield i found xD.

im a capped player, and i never sell anything, therefore I dont ruin the economy ;D

I guess in a way...If they start pumping loads of +9 lv 40 weps into the game it lowers the price of em, and the wep I bought for 3g I can't even sell for 2g now..

Lol, you'd think economy would get BETTER because more +9's are flowing through. But they actually got more expensive x.x

ROFL! This is NOT causing the problems. THe problem is caused by the new fiesta generation who is now well known there well and also the main merchants who "regulated" the marketprices are also gone.

>.o Its not really a remake if the other thread is capped players and this one is enhancers/sc users.
Either way, I don't blame either one for the economic status of the Teva server. Personally, I blame those who charging more and more money for worthless greens because they're 'greedy'.

I think it could also be vendors. I know when I vendor onc ein the blue moon I vendor stuf for more then worth since I'm still using it and would only sell it if somebody overpayed for it [So noob am'right?], and people would get prices off that oO I remember when it all started in very early OBT when somebody [not saying name] convinced a bunch of noobs that like lvl 40 +9's were worth 1.5g [were worth 700s at the time] so he/she could make mre money [this is based off my experience since when I asked somebody for priced theyw ere selling it they would say a high price and I would reply saying it's not worth that money,a nd they tell me [he/she] told them it was that high]. That person was a scammer to that said the lies of prices, but meh, that's just what I saw when prices started to get really high for +9's.

uhm well you gotta enhance to keep up with the economy it seams like, I mean I've never enhanced, I can't affoard 2 full 8x +9 gears for my charas for example o.o
if I enhanced t4 like 4 a day for 15-20g each I would get like 60-80g every day instead of my max 5g a day o.O so yupp all enhancers ruin it :D:D

yeah when people are charging 7-10g for tier3 enhance and 15-20g for tier4 enhance people expect to get MORE back in terms of money when they sell the weapons. so when you see a 7x+9 axe going for 35g youll know what happened. in terms of CS though that would be just about it I think about ruining the economy. I mean charms/outfits dont really affect the prices of equipment in game.
Im a villian when we put it like that though... I dont sell gear expect when Im done with it and I dont find any awesome greens to throw into the market, but I make money through enhancing... ><

I remember them going for 4-7s ;D
uhm jerry as I said in another thread, it's not "just a game" to some people.
and what is fun in a FTP(free to play) game if you almost can't keep up moneywise w/o using irl money huh? :/
besides of that, outspark made mobs harder, which makes people pay money for enhancements charms and extenders :/

They wouldn't be more expensive if you stopped buying them!
When the supplier sees that no one is buying, they lower the prices!
ROFL! This is NOT causing the problems. THe problem is caused by the new fiesta generation who is now well known there well and also the main merchants who "regulated" the marketprices are also gone.
There is no such thing are 'regulators' within the merchant community. Mats for scrolls and stones were cheaper, that is all. Someone decided to one day, bump the prices up and sell when the other person wasn't there to sell. People bought because they needed the supplies. The other person, on the mean time, noticed that the guy charging more, manages to sell his entire stock of scrolls/stones so he decides to charge more. That's how the prices for EVERYTHING went up.

I still know someone who charges 5g for t3, and even though it's inconvenient in terms of making less money than the others, he's got a steady flow of customers.

The price of Uruga scrolls shot up after the Dark Passage area was added in what used to be the Uruga gate, which was the BEST way to get there. Dark Passage is a long map, and getting to Uruga is much easier through Collapsed Prison/SEG.
Since getting to DP and to Uruga takes too long, it discourages low level players to go there (they have a minimal reason to be there anyway) and the path to SEG can cost a player his/her life considering the amount of high level mobs surrounding the gate.
It's because of all of this that Uruga scrolls went up in price. Either way, you have to go through two maps and if you're too lazy to do that, then you're gonna have to use an Uru scroll; the perfect way to cash in a few silvers.

All players do is circulate money, and because this is a free market system there will be rich and poor people. Enhancers can only charge the DEMAND PRICE. And who is determines the demand price? People who don't enhance...
If you are going to make a statement like "ruining the economy" atleast explain exactly how you think this is happening.
Edit~ The thing that screws up this economy is the npcs printing money in effect and taking none away.

buying stones, buying all the new skills, materials from nina, stick horses, shroom houses, npc armor/weapons from blacksmiths takes money away.

Yeah, bad wording sorry, they take *very little* away. It's too hard to give an an exact % but most of it goes to other players, not back to the npcs given the small cost of stones etc. I believe this is the main reason why prices have risen and will continue to and it is not necessarily a bad thing if people are aware.
Still interested to the this theories explanation...

It seems you have absolutely no idea how expensive enhancing is... especially for T4 items.
So there is probably NO ONE who enhances all the time just to get more gold.

Are massive Sparkcash users/Enhancers causing economy problems?
I don't think SC users, especially enhancers, have contributed greatly to economic problems. What I see is shroom after shroom of over priced inventories which sell out day after day. There are many users who have a lot of money and are willing to spend it. Its a sellers market and the sellers are making the most of it. If a person tried to sell items at a reasonable price, they tend to be bought up immediately and resold at inflated prices (I've personally experienced this on mats, potions, scrolls, armours, boss drops, ...).
Why are people willing to pay seemingly higher prices? I think there is a ton of reasons... Personally, I like creating nub accounts and leveling them through low-mid levels (bored capped person syndrome ^^). I also like to equip my nubs in the best of the best. To get what I want/need, I am willing to pay the high prices. My appetite for fineries is contribution to our inflation, not my (massively huge) SC usage ^^. If I want a 20 abyss PKK'er, or a honeying KQ tanker, or ..., I will spend what it takes to equip my character correctly. I know I'm not in the minority with regards to my spending habits on my alt accounts.
Where is all the extra money coming from? For me its boss farming, abyss mats, and green farming; sell cheap and clear inventories fast. I don't personally use SC to increase my income. There is enough easy ways to make it in game with out needing to resort to enhancing for gold. There are however those who do make a living from enhancing, but this is a very small minority of the SC users and the impact of that 'trade' surely cant account for inflation of prices on all things.
My feeling is that new aspects game play (PK, PKK, PVP KQ, FBZ fun, ...) have simply increased inter-player competition and those who wish to be strong are willing to make the gold it takes to equip themselves the best they can. SC (crit suits, charms, ...) may contribute to setting the bar of how godly you must be equipped to succeed in these new areas of game play, but I don't think that this contribution has a direct negative affect on the economy.
So a bunch of words that amount to, No, massive Sparkcash users/Enhancers are not causing economy problems
