Ok im a lil cleric in bijou im in a exhibition guild *not saying which* but someone bad mothed a guildy so we went in her alt guild and warred them we only found like a few low lvlz. but they tried so hard to ban us and ppl from another guild were to saying we cant go into another guild to war and said as soon as we switch back we can get banned. i was like eh noo idk i just joined cuz they were being mean and they put in so much effort filling their memory with supposed screen shots of us breaking the rules and they listed the os rules and stuff and i didnt see any that we broke and we wanted to get chain warred and she took a screeny of me saying that cuz i didnt know whe she was lol but to all my bijou pplz lets not fight and try to get eachother banned cuz yes thats lame and we should get along and u shouldnt but intopplz buisness where u dont belong :eek: and y would u wanna ban me im the most loveable demon cleric there is :cool:

I truly agree with this, lately people have been trying so hard to get each other banned. It's good that they are reporting evil-doers, but they are only doing that towards people they hate/dislike. But if your friend is going around throwing curse words and breaking the TOS over and over again, would you do much? You shouldn't just report people you dislike, at least WARN your friends or tell them to stop, don't do nothing about it and certainly don't join in. x:

for the record, it was several ppl in their guild, they bad mouthed me, my husband, my guild, and my guild master extensively. they also ksed me deliberately and repeatedly after there was a squabble over who was on whose side - which did NOT involve me personally, and in fact I apologized on my pts behalf even tho I wasn't sure it was their fault. i asked them several times to please stop and leave us be and they refused. so no, it wasn't just bad mouthing, it was repeated nasty behavior which warranted, including a racial slur that I neglected to screenie so I can't prove.

it's a game and my ego does not hinge on whether I win or lose, so fear isn't really at issue for me, nor is it for many of my guildies.

not a personal attack but a statement of fact: name calling is childish, and if you do it, you look like a child. can we agree on that? which is not to say I've never namecalled anyone, just when I do, I recognize it as an immature and useless social tactic and feel like an idiot for doing it, every time.

and yeah I am more than slightly irritated by the whole incident, as my friends are being threatened and insulted for backing me up. I love royal, and adore most everyone in it.

smack talk seems to be the blood that pulses in bijous veigns. It causes everything from wars to jokes to even guilds dieing. We've been in trouble for a long time xD. The new generation with a few exception seems to think that we're playing WoW and they need to whine about everyone but themselves. Seriously looks like a WoW forum here on bijou.

Obviously i'm slightly biased in how I stated the order of things. I will say that no one is really in the wrong with what actually occured. However that is subject to opinion. Often times the posts are not always subject to intended drama. CL's can wander through and misinterpret things the same as the rest of us. And if you've ever payed close attention it's the threads who's titles speak obvious intent that are quickly shut down.

In this case the title of the post could easilly be a friendly discussion in favor of making changes in the social system within the server. Such things are necessary in any political environment and will come up for the sake of mending wounds on occasion. You can't tell just by reading the title. If you really want people banned then you'd best be figuring out how to flag down the cl's so that they get their attention drawn to potentially volatile threads.

To be noted, I am someone notorious for flagging cl's when things seem out of hand. And I have seen no real need to do so here. It is common to have disagreements. It's when neither side intends to bury the hatchets that motions need be made. As we see the main arguement is coming to a close in this thread as it has been discussed and both sides have made their points. It is possible that there is more to discuss but friendlier methods are available.


What I'm saying with all this droning on and i'll get to the point, if you banned people every time there was drama half the server would be gone :). CL's and GM's have to keep an open mind and interpret when things are indeed serious. A stale arguement that lasts a couple days is not really a reason to ban someone. It's not like their going around shouting in Elderine.

9 out of every 10 wars are caused by:

1) Trast Talk
2) Drops
3) KQ Leeching
4) PKers
5) Grinding Areas
6) KS'ing
7) Beleive it or not- I've been warred for killing some kid in a PvP KQ


And many other petty reasons _-_
Rarely will somebody war for fun, or even randomness.
And even in fun wars- somebody is gonna talk trash and crap on everything in the end o.o

Well, after browsing along, it's very clear to me that there is a decent amount of flaming and the like happening here, and my announcement of that is indication of one strong thing: This thread will be closed if it continues. I'm not going to point fingers or the like, but I would like to ask that all users who post, please post in a positive manner.

Your point gets across and can be debated as you see fit maturely, and you suffer nothing for it. If you post offensively you'll be the only one to see punishment, and that benefits you not in the least bit, so I ask you to post positively in an effort to prevent that on your behalf.

Jumping into another guild so you can war then jumping back is cowardly. It denies the other guilds involved their ability to serve your comeupances. While it might not be against the TOS . (it may well be) Its still an underhanded thing to do and should leave the people involved feeling shamefull for their lack of respect and ability to deal with the circumstances there after. If you cant deal with the heat that comes after a war you shouldnt war in the first place

Jumping guilds for a war is abusing the systems layed out for regular players. It is taking advantage of a loophole in the game for personal benifit. What more it is both a sign of weakness and callous behavours. Waring someone in this regard is disrespectful and a sign of baligerance and it tells the entire comunity that the rules that apply to them dont apply to you.

Not enough people understand the meaning of honor, civility or just plain good manners.

I think the TOS should be revisited since alot of people are taking advantage of the certain things that are omitted in the TOS. (Eg. spawn killing, vendor killing, definition of harassing, PKing in abyss)

you yourself have admitted to me that you've employed less than aboveboard and "fair" tactics in a bid to shame someone during a guild war. so please spare us all this honor poop.

and we're not exhibition in order to harass and then war others at will, we're exhibition because we were spam warred by one particular guild and our lower levels were unable to grind and just have a good time. don't be mad because we found a way to avoid being habitually badgered. we're playing smarter, and as a result we're growing stronger as a guild and closer as a community.

our guild members are requested to follow certain codes of fair and friendly play that, admittedly, aren't followed 100% of the time, but we do our best to adhere to those rules, and certain otherwise beloved members have been ousted after not following them. are we perfect? of course not. but we don't claim to be; we're just having the best time we can have, enjoying the best that fiesta has to offer. anyone who has warred in my guild, sanzu-no-kawa, has been specifically instructed not to spam/spawn/afk/vendor/mushy kill, to avoid the spawn area when fighting, and not to smack talk. obviously I can't control each individual person, but those ARE my rules, and anyone found to not be playing by them will be booted and not asked to return for the next war. wars should be fun for both sides, no matter who wins or loses, even if the reasons for warring weren't necessarily friendly in nature. this is a game, and if you're getting all bitter and bent outta shape cause someone didn't do everything to the letter of your preferences, you're doing it wrong, and you probably need to re-examine your jacked up expectations of others.

this thread wasn't started to cry over the outcome of wars, it was to express dismay that someone engaged in harassing and bullying tactics (again) because they didn't like the way/reasons we warred.

if you are in a non waring guild. dont war! and dont expect anyone to respect you based on the simple fact your in a non warring guild. if you want to war join a guild that is open to them and stay with them.

I dunno about CK but we got warred to the point where it was borderline harrasement.

Jumping into another guild so you can war then jumping back is cowardly. It denies the other guilds involved their ability to serve your comeupances. While it might not be against the TOS . (it may well be) Its still an underhanded thing to do and should leave the people involved feeling shamefull for their lack of respect and ability to deal with the circumstances there after. If you cant deal with the heat that comes after a war you shouldnt war in the first place

Jumping guilds for a war is abusing the systems layed out for regular players. It is taking advantage of a loophole in the game for personal benifit. What more it is both a sign of weakness and callous behavours. Waring someone in this regard is disrespectful and a sign of baligerance and it tells the entire comunity that the rules that apply to them dont apply to you.

Because every once in a while we want to have fun we're big rule breakers?

-Guild A(1) member/admin/master is grinding and encounter some situation caused by guild B.

-He gets angry and procedes to organize Guild A(1) members to go their warring guild; Guild A(2).
-Guild A(2) wars some guild; Guild B whose members are unprepared/not online/ afk vendoring etc etc.

-A kills all of them, slaughters all the vendors/spawn kill/etc etc.

-After the war, Guild A(2) goes back to their exhibition guild.

-Guild A(1), procedes to laugh at Guild B while Guild B is not able to take revenge.

This is a highly possible senario considering all the drama that comes with KS-ing or pking in abyss.

The only one that sounds legit is "vendor killing" and if you saw me, you know I left the guy at 100 hp :d
1) Vendor Killing isn't against the rules
2) Even the GM's don't care about vendors, seeing as they kill em all the time in events nowadays (somewhere GM Frank turns in his grave Q.Q)

But warring for revenge is against the rules in the first place! :O!

That aside- guild B can (at any time) ask guild A if they may have a chance to redeem themselves.

and out of sheer arrogance, guild A would accept so they may get a chance to "pwn" them again.

And the whole war thing with guild B not having online players is what happens ANYTIME a war happens, and therefore is an invalid point (in my opinion)

Honestly- if everybody else chooses to go afk while in a guild that is available for war- that is their fault. it is just like going afk in the abyss- if you ask me.

See thats exploiting a loophole (as Warp says) right there- if your sour about losing a war all you have to do is escape to your shroom when your getting piled and take screenshots before they can stop .___.
