This may seem like a sarcastic answer, but it's not.. you get the firewood from the trees. (Not the big scenery trees, the little ones that spawn like the mushrooms, flowers, and herbs in various zones) The drop on the firewood is random, and you may have to chop 50 trees to get 10 hunks of it.. it's a test of patience quest.

I'm lost on this quest myself and still can't seem to figure out which trees i'm supposed to be looking for.

in SOS, there's a quest where you have to gather firewood for the blacksmith in summerhill street...

Chop trees? Would that not require an axe? I have found long branches from a few mobs... I was thinking these may constitute firewood and am trying to collect 10 to see. Am I on the right track here?

I understand that, I was referring to the post about chopping trees because I don't believe that that is a part of SoS.

The Long Branches are used in the Doll's nose quest given by Gephett in Mall street or Mario in Essene. 10 Branches and they'll make you a nice nose. Er.
In what areas may I find these small trees? It's not an important quest, I know, but I just want to know. ^_^

Yes, WHERE are these trees... it may not be an important quest but it'll bug me until I can complete it! :@
