Please I need help

I just got to level 20 and bought the axe. It will not let me equip myself with the axe. Even if i put my shield and sword away. Why is this? Also, I am on a quest where I fight myself in this dungeon. I get my *** kicked every time when i get to the end. is there something im doing wrong. Any help is appreciated. thanks guys!!!

Yes, you need to finish lvl 20 Shadow Quest in order to use any +20 weapon or armor.
Without that quest you will stuck whit +15 gear and to be honest in current level he is not that hard as in the past but all what you need is good strategy.

I get killed when i get to the end. i have 30 hp stones, but him and his troops keep killing me. what do i need to do better.

Buy T2 Defence and Vitality scrolls, get a T4 buff from a lvl 85+ cleric, and some HP/SP pots. You can also takeoff all your armor before entering so your clone will be armor/weapon-less ^^

also, where are the t2 hp and vitality scrolls?

Just go to Eld., the scrolls should be on the stairs in the venders. 5s Each? Also, Just find a lvl 50+ cleric and ask for a buff, T4 isn't really needed.

As has already been mentioned, to equip level 20+ items you must successfully complete the job change quest.

every vendor is about 20 silver or higher for stuff. where the heck is the cheap stuff

hungary_hippo you don't really need expensive scrolls, T1 (+/-150c) Shield and Vitality will be just fine.

Go stand in front of npc Shutian in Elderine and ask politely for a buff to help you with your job change quest.

Make sure you have enough hp/sp stones, and few potions (whatever you can afford).

Many people fail because they start to fight onot only whit own shadow but whit supporting him monsters as well.
All i can say that for final success is important ONLY SHADOW, rest of monsters are there for clear dyversion...
I end one of my Shadow Quests successfull runs whit dead shadow and room full of golems, Marlonites and skeletons :D so if you start fight in final chamber FOCUS ONLY AT YOUR SHADOW.
Maximal stack of pots and stones IS MUST BE <luckyli there is a guy in FoM who sell stones> and scrolls <T2 are maximal witch can be used at this level>.
