So long as you are not giving them actually in-game currency I think you'll be ok.

Plvling itself is not illegal.
I'm not sure if plvling for gifts is illegal. You can see it as as a form of payment in which case it would be illegal (I'll plvl you if you gift me), or you can see it as a gift, which wouldn't be illegal (oh wow, tnx for plvl, here's a gift).
Since you're using the first I fear you'd be in trouble, but of course we can't be sure untill someone has more info on this matter :)

I don't believe he should be banned, illegal or legal, because there's no statement in the ToS concerning it.

2 accounts on two diff computers is perfectly legal. Just don't let someone else on your other account to do it for you.
Honestly, there is nothing wrong with plvling as long as you don't accountshare/scam/other nasty things.

Way I see it, you normally Plvl for money. In this case you are using a gift as a way to replace the money. Technically, it's the same as them giving you money, and you using that money to buy a gift from them.
Of course, you can see it as a "thank-you" present, but I don't know if that will fly.

If its bannable, they should put it in ToS. You're not in danger :)

Yes, so in a way he'd be 'exchanging SC for in-game currency' right? I mean, the amount you'd normally pay in money is in a way replaced by SC...

Powerleveling is only against the rules if you are using a 3rd party service (such as those advertised by those spam bots), which is basically a bot controlling your character, or if you modify the client in some way so that you can dual client and be on two accounts on the same computer.
If it's just a higher level with a lower level tagging along, that's fine. Powerleveling is just frowned upon by the community.
As for gifting for powerleveling, I'm not too sure on that. I'll see if I can't dig up an answer for you guys.

I don't think that gifting for plvl is allowed, because the gift isn't given with that ''thank you'' purpose, you're plvling because you expect something in exchange. Now gifting because someone plvl'd you should be allowed, as long as they didn't plvl you with the purpose of getting something back.

lol technically doing anything in game for gifts is illegal.
BUT
You can't get in trouble for being generous with your time because a crit suit showed up in your inventory.
AND! more importantly:
You can't get in trouble for being generous with your gold because a cookie pack showed up in you inventory. (hell, I give away gold all the time and guess what? every now and then I find something nice in my premium inventory ;))

I don't believe he should be banned, illegal or legal, because there's no statement in the ToS concerning it.
But there is a statement in the ToS saying that whatever the OS staff says goes, so if it was illegal, there may be a problem.
I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure you can just explain that you did not prperly understand the rules, and get off with a warning.
Peace:cool:

Hi everyone,
Shadowic flagged me to check this thread so let's get to that point:
The short version:
Gifting someone for power level services should be OK in most cases. However, Outspark will not get involved when these activities go bad. If you engage in these activities, do so at your own risk. As always, never give any account information out to another user (except for the Spark ID, which is required to send the gift). Sharing account information is the number one cause for compromised accounts.
The long version:
Make sure you do not exchange account information. No matter what the situation is, asking or getting asked for information regarding logging in to someone else's account is a major offense and will get you in major trouble.
We do not encourage power leveling in return for gifts, although it's not illegal, asking for a gift as a condition to helping someone in game becomes more of a complicated situation especially if there is a disagreement. This is something that Outspark staff will never get involved in. You help someone, they send you a thank you item or note or message or whatever, that's all good, don't report a scam if you are not happy with whatever you thought they should send you (enhancement scamming flashbacks, that's why we made enhancement services illegal).
Please remember that gifting items in return for game currency is strictly prohibited. I am sure someone will try to stretch their luck and claim this was a gift for helping. We do monitor gifting. If we find abuse, we will act on those accounts (we already have enforced this rule a few times).
Thanks.
