I was just wondering about the mechanics of parties. How do you invite someone into a party. How do you leave a party. Where are the party settings that tell you what type of a party you are in and what level the party is at. Thanks.

To start a party right click someone and hit invite to party. When they accept a small picture off to the left side will show the member, their level, sp, health. If you are the captain of the party a small crown will appear near the right top corner of your picture. If you right click it it will say Free/Sequencial Allocation, if you click it you can change to which you want. Then it will say quit party where you can quit.

There is only 1 type of party, and there is no party levels.

Free drops means whoever in party picks it up gets the item. Sequential drops means anyone in party can pick up but drop goes to next person in order who hasn't gotten a drop recently.

Besides right clicking on players to invite them to a party, you can also right click on their names in the chat screen. If anyone says anything in normal chat, shout, or whispers you can right click the name and choose Party Invite. You can also whisper to them and right click the name of person you whisperred to to invite. You also can invite directly from the friend list window. Press the F key to enter the community window. Left click a name that appears yellow but has an X off to the right and choose party invite. (Players that are black named are logged off, players with an O off to the right are already in a party.)

To leave a party that you are in right click your own portrait in upper left and choose Leave party. To remove someone from a party if you are the leader right click their name/portrait on the party list and choose Party Member Ban. To assign a party member as a new leader if you no longer want to be it, right click their name in party bar and choose Party Master Assign. To easily add someone in your party to friend list right click their name and choose Add. And lastly if you're a Master or Admin of a guild, to add a party member easily to your guild without typing their name out again right click their name and choose Invite to Guild.

If you are in a party and press the M key you can see where everyone in the party is on the current map. You will appear as a red heart, other party members will appear as a light blue smiley face. If you mouse over the smiley face you can find out who it is. BTW the smiley faces will also appear on your minimap in the upper right part of your screen if they are within a close enough range.
