4. When getting killed by a monster one of the items in your inventory will be dropped.
Point purchase item, bound-to-character item, Quest item, equipped items will not be dropped.
※ No items will be dropped when you die during Kingdom Quest.
※ No items will be dropped when you die in Battle Field, Combat Area.
Wow... I might be urged to not play for this >.> Imo sounds like they are going to release a cs items to prevent this to make some quick money lmao. Btw soz if this is wrong info xD I got it from here http://fiestaonline.net/news/notice/view03.asp o.o

It's in the Korean or Chinese version I'm pretty shure. We better not get this though, cuz like you said, it could mean another SC item that will let OS rack in some cash. =\
Also, this isn't a for shure since it's in the other versions right now.
In other versions you can make blessed and lucky stones, but we can't do that in our version now can we?

So, if you have, let's say, a Legendary Ring of Uruga in your inventory. If you get killed in the fields, there's a possibility it can be randomly dropped from it? Wow, talk about money down the drain.
Still, how often do people get killed by monsters? I've rarely died in the field, so I wouldn't lose much. Still, isn't that how most RPGs work? It would be kinda cool to nab a +9 weapon someone was going to sell for free. xD

Well it said that it's just in your inventory, right? So it's not like you could lose something that's equipped cuz it's technically on you, not in the inventory. And only ONE thing would be lost, so it's not like a stack of t4 scrolls. Hopefully. =P

OS finally doing a PvE?
A_geezy
04-20-2009, 01:01 AM
I guess OS does read the forums lol... just now I don't know if that's a good thing:
Honestly I think people should be able to drop their equipment too.
This game is incredibly...nice... in that PvP is so ridiculously harmless and unnecessary that no one can really complain. Imagine if you lost 5% of exp (instead of 1%) and your axe when you got killed in the abyss- now we're talking about a sweet PvP scene.
Objectively I have to agree though- knowing this game's community, implementing this system is nothing less than an insta-kill for Fiesta (PM me if you're into mass PvP, we got something good going on elsewhere ;))

Outspark & OnsOn love degrading the game quality and then offer an CS item to remendy it.
Someone in an other thread mentioned that the summoning time of the in game available mover "the hobby" was highly increased right after the permanent movers appeared in the CS. (I would like someone to post the new summoning time since i dont play the game anymore).
I think that sooner or later outspark will implement this "drop item when KO'd in pve" rule cause they got no compunctions in degrading the game content so as to push more SC items and make the game unplayable without them.
I can say that the abyss complaining will be nothing compared to the new rule when this will be implemented.

Considering how many times I -and a few dozen people I know- disconnect while fighting and get killed after disconnecting, this would suck.
...I hope they do something about DC deaths before they put that part in...or make the dropped item specific so weapons/armors and such don't drop, only mats....unless maybe they are trying to get people to quit to lessen the server lag.

Fiesta would be horrible after this because most of the mages, including me, would stop using aoes period. This would be when I switch to my tank and all of the other mages & archers would make a fighter too.

No items will be dropped when you die in Battle Field, Combat Area.
How will an item drop in PVE then :/ as far as i knw Battle field and combat area inc. abyss too O.o since it's a PVP area for the reason of which you can't use warp scrolls or you won't warp into KQs when you are inside the Abyss...

And a few didn't make it (yet?)
~Item loss in PvP
~Run while cast skills for archers & mages (says most are supposed to be that way)

If such drop system will be implement then i guess that CS items will be immune for drop <since you cannot even put CS items (at least some of them) to storage> I am very sure that such system will be abused to the last possible borders whit 100% propability of intentional "pking" players whit +X gears on regular maps as well by luring trains of mobs at them <unless OS deactivate all mobs aggro fields at whole Isya>and will engite so huge tornado of hate directed at OS that this might be really means only end of US Fiesta.
That is why any OS representative should post here and once for all clear this situation by answering at very simple question.
IS SUCH UPDATE TAKEN UNDER CONSIDERATION BY STAFF OR NOT?
And really please do not reply here whit usual "We do not have any control over patches content".

As much as such update is looking as illogical i will set propability of implementation of such update at +50% chances.
In the past OS proves that for boosting CS salary they are ready to sacryfice many things. <vide uru's flash event>
But this time implementing of such extreme change in gameplay might be crossing one bridge too far, but on the other hand this might be nothing more as tornado in empty glass of water <hopefully>.

Any played Diablo series? When you die in Diablo all your weapons, armors , every thing will drop so when you respawn you must go back where you died to get all . It also drop your cash in your belt. But no inventory items drop when you die. I think this will be an issue because many players paly in the same map and that the other players might(will) take your drops which I think is unfair.

Hey not sure if the post is about what I experienced. But I foolishly was on my cleric dressed in noob dress around seg when I wasn't above the agro on King Colls. I had all my actual armor in inventory. Later when I was about to start my Spore repeat, I went to equip all my armor and no longer had my boots. Once again, I'm not sure that this example is what you are talking about, but in the interest of community knowledge I thought I should share.

Ugh, I tend not to play games which make you drop items when you die from mobs. I'd also quit.
However;
I think this would be a good thing to bring to Abyss areas, for when you are killed by players only. Because it would give the people who use SC to win something to worry about, and probably get people to think twice before being assholes.

This is why I'm not too worried about Fiesta. It made a huge splash in the F2P gaming world 15 months ago, everyone saw that. This is a great game with even greater potential. If Outspark wants to choke it to death, well that's too bad for right now but there are other gaming publishers out there who will pick it up.
Hopefully the next owner will learn from Outspark's mistakes.
One thing Outspark can do right now though is open up the Cash Shop; make all Cash Shop items trade-able in-game, this will reward both the players that work hard & those that pay a lot (many fall into both categories, the two are not mutually exclusive)

No, no, no! This would only make bullying in abyss increased. SC users will have charms, extenders, and cookies and when they're at a much higher lvl, this would leave the lower lvls at a great disadvantage. Hence, more players quitting and more complaining.

Agreed lmao, very bad idea, if anything it would have to be in the field, but I would really hope not, I know some other mmo's do this, but they are designed differently, its not as easy to train people and all that. There is enough drama and problems with people being greedy, this would just make it even worse. If this is implemented it would just be one more reason for me to finally quit after the cap lift lmao o:

i hope OS staff sees this thread and reads how negative of a response its getting.
and they are like
"lets not implement this, because alot of players would quit, and maybe this is 1 thing that lead to others versions failing"
XD
LOL they didn't care about the negative response to their garbage permanent movers. If it means they can make money, they assume we'll adjust, and the people who quit will be replaced by new people. So if they have in mind to do a cs item to prevent dropping an item upon death, they'll do it even if we all hate the idea.
Anyways, when I'm looking at a new MMO, if you drop items upon death I immediately hit that little X button on the browser tab and cross it off my list of games to try. It's already a burden for me to come back and cap my mage at 105, but it's something that I'm pushing myself to do. Cap raises have always been fun for me, this one's more work than fun. So it wouldn't take much to tip me over the edge and make me say forget it, I'm done for good. Adding this feature would do just that.
But I'm not worried about it. I come back from quit-land and start asking... Is the light pillar quest fixed yet? No. Is the drop rate on the ruby hair quest fixed yet? No. Are rewards in GM kq fixed yet? No. Does GM kq at least not let out in Roumen yet? No. I go down the list and every time I stumble across something that needed to be fixed before I quit months ago, it's still broken. So I don't really worry about them adding new content.
I know some other mmo's do this, but they are designed differently, its not as easy to train people and all that.
Other games are much smarter in how training works. Like on one game I played, mobs run back to their spots and noone can attack them while they're running, they don't aggro either.

The negative response was logistically ludicrous for all sides of the equation.
Outspark needed a 1st quarter profit boost to seal the deal with Offerpal Media Inc.
Many players were asking for permanent mounts, especially with the onset of gifting. For $10 (mount + rations) a permanent mount will last about 1 month of intense play. Each month after that only costs $2 or so to keep the mount fully loaded (if you're playing full time).
So no, the children who complained about the perma mounts were in the wrong, Outspark was very much in the right.

I play a game like this :D
Guess what? I looted a TT60 Bow and a dozen Ult. Subs this morning before class :p
(I'm hella nice though so I gave 6 subs back)

if they did this, OS should truly just drop fiesta. the game is already majorly cash items based now. A lv 30 can kill lv 50 just cause he is insanely SC'd. imho, thats really retarded. This game is really unbalanced as it is, and so many people have quit. But of course, most of our rants get ignored, because in the end they just want money. just a thought.

My point was kind of, I'd like it because it would make the lightweights stay out of the Abyss, hence less complaining. I'm talking about the complaining of people who ignore that the Abyss's purpose is PvP, and go in there then complain about getting PKed - having them drop items when this happens might make them stay out of the Abyss, and shush somewhat.
Also, I'd prefer this over dropping items when getting killed by mobs in PvE because it leaves you with a choice whether you want to take the risk, you know?
Another note: if this was implemented, I think it would be way better if they would change the aggro of monsters so that if a monster or train of them is following someone, once that person loses the aggro the monsters will just return to their place without attacking bystanders - Fiesta is one of the few games I've noticed doesn't work like this, I find it pretty odd.

Whaatt?!?! No, No, No, The purpose of the abyss is to lvl your character or make money when no other means are available!! You wanna Pk someone you take that to the FBZ's thats what there made for!! If Outspark implements item drops in abyss that would Uber sux!!! Imagine you just found a cashas drop in 60 abyss your trying to get out to put it in storage and "Boom" someone PK's you! or a Monster kills you!! Then your brand new precious Item is gone just like that!! No ty!! I would instantly quit playing behind something as stupid as that!! And Im an SC user so I would be Highly P.O.'ed if My SC item I done spent REAL MONEY on was to drop for some dumb reason!! No!! bad Idea outspark Bad Idea indeed:mad:!!

From what I remember, Abyss was implemented so that players had a place to lvl. Weaker mobs and better exp at the risk of pvp. FBZ's purpose is PvP... :I
On topic, though...yeah it would suck.
In fact it would fail in more ways that OS probably knows of.
Not only are players quitting, think about the new players who would come in and soon quit after losing so many items. It just repeats itself at that point, in my mind. Also, what about the players who can't buy spark cash? And that population seems rather large when you think about it. CS buyers are becoming common, sure, but there's a ton of folks who can't/don't purchase.
But imo, if a CS item is released to prevent this, chances are it'll either be:
A. 30-day
or
B. Consumed at time of death
While this would probably spike sales a bit, some people would get tired of it after a while, and then more SC might be spent on that one item instead of anything else in the cash shop.
But until OS says something, pff... Nothing left but to discuss..

I've seen other games where it costs about $5 or so to permanently "bind" your item to yourself so it can't be dropped. But games like that are more focused on harsh mass PvP/PK. Fiesta's community isn't ready for a system like that and those who are/were have moved on.
Implementing this is fail right now, but I can see in the future a scenario where it could work:
After the current issues/bugs/missing\broken quests are fixed;
After the Cash Shop has been opened up and people can exchange gold for CS items;
A new PvP server where after level 60 you are forced into PvP mode. Abyss rules apply: kill or be killed. Kill too many people you get flagged as a PKer (red name or so) and are liable to drop items upon death.
An item that allows you to bind your equipment to yourself could then be released at a great profit to OS.

yeah really -_-;;;;
So people are speculating about something that's in a totally different version of the game, again? Surprise surprise... this kind of talk just gets people more angry and more worried when noone knows anything about what OS are planning. Drama drama drama.

One of the GMs say not so long ago that helgaits will not be altered in any way, right now OS introduce helgaits WHIT STATISTIC in other words his statement was diplomatic speaking untruth.
When it is comes to OS you can never be 100% sure if they will NOT implement such feature after one of the future maintenances and trust me IF they will do they will not announced that before everything will be done.
What will happen after this... answer yourself.

I don't see anything wrong in WONDERING if we'll get it.
And trying to get answers as "will we get it" ?
Else, it'll just be added in one patch, and then it'll be uproar, while by doing this we might be able to make OS understand that we don't want it.
It's really too bad that nobody of the staff ever answered us :(

If this was added to our version of the game, I'd be pretty miffed. Not denying that. I'm just so over the OS bashing, especially when they've *finally*, to many people, released a highly successful patch that makes lots of things *better*. It is pretty unlikely that OS are going to come in here and say yes/no to this addition. Go on OS, prove me wrong lol.
I just see the reactions to such an addition and its pages of 'I'll quit'. Just more negativity brought to the forums from a link to something which is pure speculation.

I dont get it.. OS are always saying they have nothing to do with the development side.. so shouldnt the thanks go to oos dunno..
anyways if this item is released it would mean the game is even more unplayable unless spark cash is purchased.. games in asia have similar no drop cash shop items but their cash shop items are tradeable in game so accessible to all.. because frankly not everyone who plays the game can afford or is able to get sc just how it is.

I'd just... not die LOL. heh, nah I wouldn't quit over this. I'd be miffed but I wouldn't quit. If they were to implement something to prevent loss of items, it would be wise to team it with teva. Lose a chunk of exp AND items? Yeah that would suck lol.
further edit: Maybe you're right, fear. *gives thumbs up to OOS*

Of course, you're a cleric.
Death is like a unknown thing for you.
Try to level an archer or a mage, and compare.
And don't forget the haters that will probably train by purpose.
Abysses will be even more avoided than it is now.
And to say that to avoid this, buy Teva AND the SC that is probably going to go with this new feature, is really not an answer that we will like to hear.

04-23-2009, 05:28 AM
No, I know, just saying that it would be a wise business move.
Still all speculation.
I know as a cleric I don't tend to die, fighters would generally be in the same position. Mages higher in level usually already buy teva, archers I'm not sure about, probably not so much? I really want to level my archer.
Eh. I just don't know if you're going to get an answer from anything raised in this thread, just more worry and fear for the future of the game. That's a pretty awful headspace to be in. I'd rather just have fun with it.
